I think of Thanos a "Bridge Class" character.

By that, I mean his lives in the "Bridge" between "Mega Class" hitters and "Skyfathers."

He is greater than Surfer, but less than Galactus.
He is greater than Thor, but less than Odin.

I.E.- Bridge Class.

But that said- World Breaker Hulk also plays in the Bridge Class.

And if Thanos is robbed of all tools save for his punching power; than this fight favors Hulk.
In effect, it forces Thanos to play in Hulk's sand box.

Now remove that Force Field, and replace Champion with a ticked off Uber-Hulk.

Thanos can't win them all. This deck is stacked against him.

The problem with this theory is that Thanos already fought a pissed off thor and was arguable tapping into the gem more than champion was , with no shields.
And didnt do to shabby either.

Thanos blasted, etc...and got a busted nose. He then resorted to a gun when things got carried away. He doesn't have that luxury here.
