Wasn't Andeddu so powerful that the other Sith or his era teamed up to beat him?

Yep. They ganged up on him because they were afraid to take him on on their own.

We don't have enough info on Andeddu.

Telepaths vs sith in general is going to turn out badly for the non-sith, but Andeddu's force illusions made other sith afraid to take him on.

Big 'if'.

Also, we really don't know Andeddu's skill level. He did have a lightsaber in his life, but in the one fight he was in he didn't have it available.

Which makes sense. Maul's probably the junior one here in raw Force power and Force knowledge/mastery, so he has a serious handicap. Depending on how efficiently Addedu can spam the illusions might decide the melee though. Sadow's Force illusions technically were real enough to kill people and consumed armies. Even on a microcosmic level, similar illusions might be too much for Maul to cope with while his foe whips up another method of dispatch, like lightning or chuck lava.

Maul has dealt with Force lightning, also, Wyyrlock was TK the lava as well. Wyyrlock and Maul's power level are uncomparable, we don't have enough info to rank Maul next to Andeddu or Wyyrlock. A younger, Dark Jedi version of Krayt got mauled by Obi-Wan in a Legacy flashback, and Maul is underrated, he got beat by Obi-wan because he was surprised - I don't think that puts Obi-wan above Maul by any stretch, especially considering he beat the former before that little fluke - and forced the former on the retreat in TCW.

The problem with the illusions in this instance is that his illusions can't be quantified. Wryylock and Andeddu were both fighting within each other's minds. How do you quantify the strength of powers that are used entirely in the abstract?

Good point.

Maul is a good fighter, but I don't recall him being a proficient Sith sorcerer or master of exotic Force powers. This is potentially a problem in this fight.

But this is a fight, and Magic didn't give Talzin much confidence to face Dooku 1 on 1. So in a fight, implied magic abilities shouldn't even be relevant in this match up, much less in the versus forum in general. And power level is everything.

Maul can "fight in the mind" too, Maul also has some esoteric abilities unique to himself. He was a young apprentice but wasn't far from Master level overall, some 5 or so years more and Maul is a master, but he dies in Theed.

But Andeddu's illusions did give Andeddu confidence in facing other Sith, even able to sense some of Wyyrlok's power in front of him and having been there when Wyyrlok slaughtered the malevolence cultists and after Wyyrlok palm-blocked his force lightning.

Direct conflict didn't intimidate him.
