The Marvel reboot was just in terms of relaunching titles with new #1 issues and creative teams. Historical canon is still the same across the board.

The depictions say otherwise, in particular Thor before the Gorr arc.

I assume you're referring to Thor's less than great showings (particularly in AvX and Avengers Assemble)? That's usually what people brought up to justify Thor being "nerfed" or even depowered. Of course, same people gloss over (unintentionally and intentionally in some cases) that Thor did shit like kill the Demogorge, one shot BFR an amped Hulk while being less than 100%, essentially assraped Worthy Thing, obliterated an amped Ulik with ease unheard of barring that time with the Odin Force, stalemated Silver Surfer while injured, had a stellar showing in the Galactus/Scrier incident, killed Surtur, and even in the pages of AvX, fared FAR better against the Phoenix Force and its hosts than fellow herald peer, Gladiator did. Sure, he had some low showings in some team books and events, but nowhere near enough to drop his stock (unless you just ignore his ongoing title).

The last few years for Thor have been chockfull of downright absurd feats for him, often at the expense of characterization. Anyway, back on topic, Thor's canon has been pretty much the same as it's always been, barring the storyline arc specific reworking of Asgardian lore and whatnot (which is nothing new to the character).
