Miraak, the first Dragonborn, and another Dragon Priest, apparently ripped the island of Solstheim from the Skyrim mainland as a side effect of their fight. The Dragonborn is superior to them.
Hermaeus Mora has also stated when he is at half power, the Dragonborn is a peer to him.

For those who don't know who Hermaeus Mora is, he is a Daedric Lord, or a god-like being. Daedric Lords are, for all intensive purposes, omnipotent. So when Hermaeus Mora is at half of his power, the Dragonborn is nearly equal in power to him, which is no small statement.

Daedric Lords are not omnipotent.

Wouldn't an omnipotent being at half power still be at full power if he's omnipotent?

Figured there was some shit like this somewhere, TES games tend to do this.

That was Clavicus Vile, not Mora.

I said that they are omnipotent for all intensive purposes, at least that is how they are portrayed. I never said tha they were completely omnipotent.

You can't be kind of or half omnipotent. What's the difference between omnipotent and completely omnipotent?

Shut up Wei.

Thank you NemeBro, at least somebody understands what I'm saying.

No, but Wei is right, omnipotence is literally "all powerful" the Daedric princes are not only not omnipotent, but being omnipotent essentially means your power is infinite. Cut infinite in half and you just have a smaller infinite. (Yes, you can have smaller infinites, math is weird.)

Levels of infinity. Look it up.

I'm already aware, my post indicated this pretty clearly.

You're missing the problem. An omnipotent being at half omnipotence is still omnipotent.

Also, the DPs are not omnipotent to begin with.

IE, this entire line of reasoning is captain of the SS moot.

Do you guys know what "all intensive purposes" means? It's saying that the item of discussion is almost, but not quite, to a point of description, so I is easier to just describe the item that way. So in this case, I am saying that Daedric Lords, which are described as god-like beings, are not omnipotent; however they are so close to omnipotence that it is easier to just say they are omnipotent for the purposes of the conversation/debate. Also, this debate isn't even about Daedric Lords, they're just being used as a reference for the Dragonborn's powers.

Do you guys know what "all intensive purposes" means?
All intents and purposes, actually. This expression signifies that things are functionally identical. The Daedric Princes are not functionally omnipotent, the dragonborn is not functionally half omnipotent, omnipotence is so far removed from this discussion that for all intents and purposes the word is irrelevant here.

None of the Gods in TES are truly omnipotent, they're just ridiculously powerful.

Much like the Dovahkiin.

Mehrunes Dagon was big enough and powerful enough to go Gojiira on the Imperial Capitol and Mournhold, IIRC. It took several godlike beings the latter time to stop him and one badass deity to take him out the first.

I'm done with this thread. Screampaste and I are in complete agreement on something and it sickens me. I'm leaving before I become a White Canadian.

We used to get along well in VGVS, uhuh

Besides, being white isn't bad at all, in fact, I like being white. I get all these nifty privileges and no one expects me to know how to dance, and since I can't dance, this suits me just fine. As for being Canadian, ever had poutine? Not even lactose intolerance should keep a man from enjoying something so delicious.

Dairy products give me rumbling, explosive farts.

What's really crazy is the guy who the Dovahkiin defeated (Alduin) supposedly created Dagon.
