Diana's first and foremost a warrior that lives and breath combat.Her whole life on Themyscira is warfare.
In post crisis she spent a 1000 yrs fighting in a war. She knows most if not all of human combat, add that to her Amazons style.
She's so skilled that she took on the JL while blinded. all she did was to feel the wind placement when they were moving around her.
Most of the fights Steve's won were pis/cis helping.

In that comic, Diana was actually without sight, she went around wearing a blindfold. She lost her fight in a battle against a Dragon.
Diana's skill surpasses both Bat's and Cap's by leaps and bounds. The only reason she's not made to look better, is because this society even in comics still, still believe in the guy been better than a woman.
Diana would skill both Bruce and Cap if a writer actually knows how to write her properly.
On the age thing, it's pretty clear in comics that you can reach top-tier without extreme age, and more age/experience doesn't seem to help much. Just view Ra's and Vandal, who're good fighters, but not *that* good.
I think it's a good fight, but all those thousand years in Asgard and such? Don't really change the equation much. So I'd say either can win.

Except for her matches with Batman. And Shiva (who, notably, both gave her tips, and she revealed later she left the holes on purpose so that her advisors would be able to give advice as part as a rehabilitation thing). And Canary, who on different occasions mentioning her skill. And Batman mentioning her skill as very high. And, well, you get the idea.
Quite a few high-level martial artists respect her skill. Also, when she spars, everyone acts like she's human level (she doesn't use powers, they use moves that don't work against someone of her powers), and still feel she's a significant challenge.
There is the matter that when she wants to, she can face a highly experienced hero like Power Girl with plenty of melee experience, and just shut her down entirely in HtH.
😂 @ these arguments. Wonder Woman is a skilled fighter but I wouldn't give her a win against Robin under same stats. Batman has embarrassed her in h2h despite vast stats difference, a random fighter almost killed her with a sword which was able to cancel her powers and she was literally crying because she is so dependent on her powers and shit like that. A random fight off panel with Shiva when she still had her powers and Canary doesn't means anything.

Batman has kicked the Spectre, tricked Darkseid into letting Supergirl go home, single handedly beat all the JL main members, outsmarted Superman multiple times.
So what's you're point? All these people are beyond Batman, yet he always comes out on top.
