People are going "it is too harsh!" but please, she won't end up serving that entire sentence, I doubt she'll even serve half. But at least it sends a message.

It really does seem like there is something in the water these days making people crazy. Since even though I was laughing at the sentence, I will point out there have been men who have banged their students and didn't get this harsh a sentence.
On the other hand, you've also had clear cases of where a woman who did it actually didn't get as much time as a guy probably would of. So I guess it depends on your state.
Especially since a decent amount of these women banging younger dudes are not bad looking..so why they gotta bang teenagers?

Well of course the teens would say that...they get to bang their skanky teachers. A decent amount of which had husbands and children.
But you just pointed out another problem: hot older female teacher bangs a male student? Why that kid must be high fiving his friends. Good looking male teach screws a female, and do you think they will be saying the same thing about it? I've heard some really insane excuses over this, like that it is due to the fact women are easier to manipulate. But..that actually doesn't make the women look any better. I also find that if you have boobies and a vagina it is quite easy to manipulate teenage boys.
Here is the other problem: you'd think teachers(male or female) who do this would not only be fired, but would never be able to get another teaching job..even if in another state, right?
Well no though, I've heard of instances where sometimes these teachers end up finding employment teaching elsewhere, and I don't mean like they went to Europe or some other country to do it.
Some of this teachers who do this are also parents..and we leave them able to keep their kids even though they do stuff like this. This is what we need:
More rulings like this for these people. I posted this in another topic, but again if you read the link this woman was given the option of avoiding jail time by agreeing to not have kids for 13 years..and she was all looking at her boyfriend and hesitating. Keep in mind she's physically abusive and abandoned her kids in a hotel to go partying, and one of the kids had epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
This woman was told if she behaved she can pop out more kids after 13 years.
Every person should have to take a test (an oral one, lol..jkjk) to prove that they are competent enough to make an informed choice when it comes to sexual relationships (assuming they want such a relationship). We'd probably see how often these supposed "children" are not really children and knew exactly WTF they were doing.
Here's what annoys me about the whole argument on consent:
People (And I mean judges, lawyers, pundits..) claim if a minor has an erection and does the deed willingly, no crimes really been commited against him. Law or no law, it's a victimless crime without consequences.
Which is total bullshit. So WHAT if.the kid wanted it? That's not the point. This isn't about him, it's about the adult who was charged with looking out for him, and not only failed in her duty, but exploited the shit out of it. Kids want a lot of things that are bad for then.. Their excuse, is that they're KIDS.
And trivializing an older woman seducing a kid (Or even allowing herself to be seduced by a kid) is both an alarming attitude to take, and insulting to the extreme on what people.expect from women. I'd expect many women out there are as offended as I am, and rightfully so.

The problem is that usually when this happens with boys people tend to assume they knew what they were doing, but when it happens with girls the immediate assumption seems to be they were taken advantage of.
The most bizarre thing of all is..I have honestly found teenage girls to be far far more manipulative then teenage boys. To an almost scary degree, Cruel Intentions style.
I am sure when it comes to the mechanics of sex the kids knew exactly what they were doing. But it doesn't mean they grasped the potential mental repercussions of it. Sometimes mental scars can take years to actually show up. But I am sure the kids wanted to bang this lady, just like I'm sure she was probably manipulating them and had them eating out of the palm of her hand. The people I feel the worst for though aren't the kids getting to bang these women, but the husbands of these shady people who have to deal with the fact their wife went out and rode some teen. I think one guy was dumb enough he *stayed with his wife* after she did some shit like this. He basically handed over his testes and dignity.

Sentence seems pretty harsh this time. She will have to register as a sex offender.
