They still do.
The problem is that the women are supposed to know better than to sleep with someone that isn't even legally allowed to consent yet.

and should be held to the same standard as men regarding those laws.
If people want to argue men and women should have different ages of consent, fair enough. But I'm not buying the whole consent should only apply to one gender.

The girl could have consented but because of her age - and many different societies have a different line about where the age of consent begins - it could be deemed she didn't (or couldn't) give 'informed' consent. And while on paper it should be the same for an underage boy, culturally to this point we seem to go easy on the female offender.
I've given my opinion already on whether I think it's the same kind of crime when it's an older woman and an underage boy. Don't think I need to repeat it.

sounds less like this thread is to talk about it, and more you just want to list off things you wished happened to you. Seeing as you get testy when someone talks about the supposed point of the thread and asks questions about it and wants to discuss it instead of simply saying "yup"

But this kid is friggin 12. He can probably count the total number of pubes he has on one hand.
Especially since SHE GOT PREGNANT! The kid is 12, so it's not like he could buy condoms, which means it was up to the teacher and she just porked him anyways without protection.
Even if he was lusting after her...so? He is a damn kid. Yes, young men lust after older women, especially around age 12 when the girls their own age have not..developed yet. The issue here isn't whether or not the kid wanted sex, but that the teacher wanted it from a 12 yr. old and got pregnant.
Also something to consider: this woman has 3 kids and at least one girl who was friends with the dude she banged. Think about the kind of role model she is, especially to the daughter. I feel bad for the kids because they have some bastard child for a brother now, and if the woman had a husband I feel sorry for him too. Obviously I feel sorry for the kid who did the banging.
Not only does she deserve jail time, but she should lose custody of her kids.

I get testy when someone asks me a redundant question. The issue is not what I think about it, but what they think about it. But then, perhaps some of the posters don't have English as their first language, so perhaps they stumble over the translation in their questions.

There is a romanticized view with the older female teacher that gets predatory. Like, her desire to want to be part of her students lives, help them get through the challenges of their young lives and be a difference, slowly crosses into the dark side and they get sucked in.
It never sounds like that with an older male teacher and a female student. Society's view is that he was a predator pervert and that's it.
But maybe an issue like this is like pornography. You can have no opinion on it (or secretly be into it 😛 ) - until you have a relative involved.
I have a teenage nephew, and I'm concerned enough about what experiences in sex he's exploring or getting - if an older woman went after him, of course I would be upset. I guess that's hypocritical.
My opinion on porn is I don't care about it one way or the other, but I'd never want to date a porn star. Or if I had a kid I'd never want her in porn. To be perfectly honest, I find females who do this kind of thing MORE f***ed up because of that.
For the most part, the men just want to get laid. The women want a relationship with an immature child whose brain hasn't fully developed... AND have sex with them.
