It's not his power set that'd make him dangerous though. It's his intelligence. I can see him replicate the same thing Ock did in "End of the Earth" and no one will stop him.

Superman is usually at his most interesting when he's made into a villain of some kind, which is why he so often is one in alternate reality portrayals.
