the new incarnation of magus was supposed to be as powerful as the classic imo, and lord mar-vell disintegrated him in one blast. thanos fought at least evenly against (and appeared to have the better of) mar-vell in the cancerverse arc. using that bit of abc, it would appear that the newer version of thanos is likely above the magus, then or now. /shrug

Afro Magus did have the soul gem and was drawing power from 25,000 black knights iirc
it was never explicitly stated, but it was magus' future that he was derived from so there is no reason to think he could be weaker. i'd forgotten about the gem though. if he WAS amped, then it only makes my stance firmer still--that version needed an amp to beat an earlier, weaker thanos. if he gets the gem, that could be huge factor though. i have no idea how the gem would affect this new version of thanos. i would have thought warlock would have used it on thanos at some point in the past, but i....actually can't recall a time he did..... 😕

Lord Marve-ll went hand to hand with Thanos...if both went at it full power, the fight would have went differently. Thanos never showed on panel that he can take a group of high Heralds out with a single attack.
Also, Magnus was amped at one point. Amped to the point that he was able to take a score of planets out with a single attack (said attack also damaged the hell out of Surfer...wait, the attack didn't even touch Surfer and it brought him to his knees). If we are using that version, he is pulling a high majority imo. Thanos makes it a fight though.

I already said that if he was AMPED to the point (prayers) of destruction he was able to show during that instant then yes, I would give him the majority against Thanos.
Do you honestly believe Thanos could've killed a group of high end Heralds like the ones Marv-ell could have killed (here's the important part) 'with a single attack'? No, he can't and I don't think Thanos would brush an attack like that off either, especially if he is hit by it twice.
If Thanos can not achieve such power, that alone tells me LM is more powerful. Hell, has any trans tier shown the ability to kill multiples of high end Heralds with a single attack?
