What?! I have no idea what you are talking about.
Is it okay for people to be homophobic as long as they don't discriminate agents you?
That is what I was getting from Fated Xtasy's post. You jumped in the middle. I'm still waiting for Fated Xtasy to answer my question.
I see your angle, but you're effectively trying to be the Thought Police.
People should be (and are) allowed to think what they like, be it finding homosexuals, people of a different color, different nationality, different religion etc. disgusting, so long as they don't impede on their freedoms/rights.
There is a flaw in that though, when a certain group is targeted and something that others have a right too, has to be ruled on. eg gay marriage, interacial marriage as two examples.

I just wanted to know how far he/she was willing to take that line of thought.
I am in favor of putting out a fire before it gets big. Does that point of view have its own problems? Yes. Do I have a solution for that? No.

Then what's wrong with being a homophobic fundamentalist Christian? After all they just want to help people with a disease. They are not harming anyone... They are doing GOOD, by helping the lost sinner.
Action?

Those "homophobic Christian groups" can and do harm people with their actions when they use their influence to dictate discriminatory laws. There's that flaw I mentioned.
But if they were just getting together to hate on gays and nothing negative came of it towards gay people, let them hate until they're blue in the face.

Actions, what actions? They are trying to help people! You make it sound like doing good is wrong. 😉

So, if homophobes didn't push their beliefs on others, then no one would hate them? That just doesn't make any sense.
when I said that I was implying that must homophobes are Christian or catholic, or any other kind of close minded religions. because it is a FACT that the majority of homophobes are part of the conservative, Christian, catholic and republican groups
and for the good some Christian or catholic groups do(depending on their opinion of homosexuality) they do equal harm on LBGT youth, telling them that what they feel is immoral, a sin, disgusting, a disease, basically alienating them from the rest of 'Normal' society because they don't like it, well if you don't like, well why don't you go **** off, because most of the time because of homophobia many young gay teenagers commit suicide. because this isn't some disease like AIDS or Cancer, this a human being who prefers men over women, is that gonna change your view on your son, because it shouldn't, because the only ****ing difference between him marrying a man instead of a woman, is that instead of having a beautiful daughter- in-law you're gonna a handsome son in law that is the only difference. and if and when I have my child and he/she turns up to be gay I won't treat him/her any differently because they'll still be my babies and i'll still love them.
