Says who?

I have seen this all of my life. In the 70's my father and uncle wrote a book outlining how Jesus would return by the year 2000. He had scripture after scripture all figured out, and he was 100% confident that the end was coming. Last I checked it is now the year 2014. Okay, my dad was wrong, but so was everyone else who made a production based on the bible. It seems funny how reality always goes a different way then the bible predict.

There is no reason to believe that the future will be any different from the past, when it comes to interpreting the bible.

But the bible never gives an exact date, only a series of events that will unfold, and many of them have. You can't really blame the bible for the failings of men that take it upon themselves to believe something that was never written. Not once was a date ever written in the bible for Christ's return. Nostradamus on the other hand gives dates on his predictions. Hope you see the difference.

All the same, just check it out will you.

Okay, lets say you are right. You can't blame the bible for the people who made that video being wrong. Because they are wrong, and will always be wrong.

The bible is just a book written by humans; nothing more.

What's so funny? I have my reasons for thinking the way that I am. Would you like me to send you the same PM that I sent Omega Vision?

The idea that you pretended like it was exclusive or secret seemed amusing, and then you post something from a religious site, claiming prophecy or somesuch.

"Lo! And I beheld a shirtless figure on a brown horse. And he arbitrarily annexed Crimea while hosting the Paralympics. And death traveled with him."

And your point is? Are you trying to belittle my beliefs? You may think little of it, but not everyone has to see life the same way that you do. If you don't believe in what I do that's perfectly fine, just don't push your disbelief on me. After all, no one told you that you had to go to that site. Right?

He'll push his disbelief however he pleases, he has no obligation not to. Most of us tend to avoid belittling people's religious beliefs when the believer avoids proselytizing or making claims.

But to build up that you possess some esoteric, meaningful knowledge about a serious situation happening in the world, only to reveal that your information comes from the an interpretation of a religious scripture... well let's just say it becomes difficult to take you or your beliefs seriously after that.

Really, your source leaves much to be desired, which explains why you initially were reluctant to share it.

In any case, the idea of Putin = Horseman of the Apocalypse is a pretty awesome meme, so thank you.

I don't recall making any claims, You were curious and so I shared with you what it was that I had recently saw. No big deal right? You however seemed pretty quick to turn something as small as my PM to Omega into more than it actually was (don't make me quote you please). All the same Lucien, let us not turn this into some petty debate that will only serve to derail the topic of discussion. Hope that works for you.

Who are you to say or judge the credibility of the source, when you can not prove that it is not correct? The best thing that you can do at this moment young man or lady, is to remain still, and watch, because anything can happen in the unstable world that we live in. What was spoken of on that site, is hardly as outlandish as many people may pretend that it is after all. The only thing that I'm saying is that you may need to be more open minded about ideas that you may not have thought of first, or that you have trouble understanding due mostly in part to your own disbelief.

Now, if what I just wrote offends you, I am truly sorry.... However, I neither feel foolish, or silly for posting it. I must admit that my hesitance was due to reading you like a book though. I knew beforehand that many people would react the way that they did. Now you have to go away wondering whether that's a good thing or not. I'll say no more about it. So feel free to have the last words even though they will be irrelevant to the subject.

He'll probably do a third option, and doubt your claim that you could read him like a book...

Goodbye Ukraine.

Well shit?
Meanwhile, a Russian security official has said intelligence measures are being stepped up to counter Western threats to Moscow's influence.

"There has been a sharp increase in external threats to the state. The lawful desire of the peoples of Crimea and eastern Ukrainian regions is causing hysteria in the United States and its allies," Federal Security Service (FSB) deputy head Alexander Malevany was quoted as saying by Interfax.
So Russia has designs on eastern Ukraine as well potentially.

And there is nothing the US is going to do about it except billow complaints to European nations that will also do nothing about it.

What about SANCTIONS?

Ukraine is not Nato/EU, of course.

What sanctions? A few people? I don't think they care.

I like to look at things from different angles, and I read something on what is going on over there several years ago. Then last night I got a phone call telling me to visit the site that I'm going to post up in a second. It may be true or it may be false, but all the same I think that all that are interested should give it a glance.

"Eschatological Fetishism" Wow! I've never seen this before. I like it! I mean I like the term.

This is nothing new. The only reason Russia hasn't tried invading East Ukraine is that it knows that would mean the biggest war in Russian history since Afghanistan, and we know how that turned out.

The last time Russian troops were used in open warfare it was against a country 1/10th Ukraine's size with 1/10th the number of troops and that exposed a lot of weaknesses in Russia's armed forces, particularly its air force.

For all his hubris, Putin is smart enough to know that the possible benefits of annexing Eastern Ukraine are far outweighed by the costs. He'll probably settle for Crimea.

Why is it the worst? Everything has a beginning, and an ending. Right? I just don't believe that they said anything about the end of the world. Bad stuff will happen yes, but the end of the world?
