Maybe things have changed for Spidey, but I keep thinking how he kept losing to Captain America years back (what did they have? 4 fights?). And while losing to Cap is nothing to be ashamed of, I dunno, I just feel Spidey should been on top. I've always looked at him as the most powerful character in the Cap-Batman-Daredevil-etc crowd.

As for Surfer? Maybe I'm confusing jobbing with PIS/CIS and/or his superpacifistic mindset. Also, the infamous Armbar Incident didn't help.

Also, lol at using that as a recent depiction. Recent depictions would be me using current Superman getting beat up by a walking alien lizard or him getting two shot koed by an intangible girl or getting killed by Batman with a death blow as evidence.
