Ant did a good job on showing that Thanaton really is a chump.

I'd imagine he does seeing as he possesses numerous holocrons by sorcerers and ancient texts etc. I mean, I find it highly likely he at least knows how to resist it.
It was hard for Krayt to resist (who knows pretty much everything Wyyrlok does), and the sorcerer Andeddu couldn't.

His ritual would require time and preparation
Quite, the simple means of act first works there.

Ok, so i've decided that Thanaton will proceed to the 2nd round. The reason for this is that half of the arguments i've seen involve teneb kel being bad because he was beaten handily by the only apprentice the emperor ever had. 40 years before his prime.
Wait really? But Wyyrlok lol stomps Aneddu and gives Krayt a really good fight even when he's a Jar'Kai user and was using a single saber.

Wyyrlok didn't really "lolstomp" Andeddu, but he beats him solidly with his illusions, which as noted is a really good feat.
Yeah, earlier I gave Wyyrlok the saber edge. However if you look at the scans the amount of time they clash blades is relatively short.
Wyyrlok does have his illusions, but Thanaton has his mental assault shit that godstomps Nox, who even at this point has good feats and is empowered by 2 sith spirits.

I don't think Nox at that point could really hold a candle to Darth Krayt though. And Wyyrlok didn't have his second saber, and was caught off guard.
Nox couldn't really hold a candle to Thanaton either 👆
now Thanaton isn't quite on Darth Krayt's level. But this is about Darth Wyyrlok, and it doesn't change the fact that Thanaton completely and utterly overpowered Nox, who at this point is still a powerful sith lord.
As I said, Wyyrlok is a master swordsman, as he was able to keep up with Krayt even though he only had one saber. But the duel itself wasn't actually lengthy, as Wyyrlok resorted to Memory Walk to try and kill Krayt. Let me re-iterate, Thanaton would not be able to keep up with Wyyrlok in a prolonged duel. But Wyyrlok prefers to use his force abilities rather than a lightsaber, so that's probably how most of this fight would go.
