Just saw this. Outstanding movie.

The villains were weak, Could've done alot more with them in this movie.
Spoiler:
The scientist being Stykers son who succeeded in wiping out mutants where his father failed was fking cool, but he was still a lame character.Pierce was also pretty lame. Just a standard dickhead mercenary with cybernetic enhancements which never really helped him the entire movie outside of fixing his broken neck at one point somehow.
X-24 was pretty one dimensional, but offered a good physical threat. No real mental pull there though. This entire aspect could have been fixed if they scrapped X-24 and made him Sabretooth (Sabes wouldn't mind killing/hunting mutants after all; he'd just be in it for the killing). Sabretooth would have offered a much better dynamic, and would have been able to physically dominate Logan just as well if not better than X-24. Him killing Logan would have made the death resonate a fking ton more too. He wouldn't even need to talk all that much, just like X-24. Just make him similar to his X1 incarnation. Not including Sabretooth, Wolverines biggest villain, was pretty damn disappointing to me. I honestly expected him to show up the entire movie.
Despite the villains being lame though, the movie was great. The entire farmhouse scene was easily the highlight of the entire movie too. Well shot with a great soundtrack to supplement all the fked things happening.
Originally posted by KazenjiYou're right, I just googled it. Apparently they were going to have Wolverine and Xavier go to Sabes for help at that casino. In that case, I'm glad they scrapped it. That was not the right way to go about including Sabes. I don't really see him ever helping Logan.
^ Well they originally wanted Sabretooth in the moviefrom what i'm reading seemed to be more then a cameo if they went with it.

They should have done that just to wrap up the whole Sabertoorh plot hole that exists between X-Men 1 and X-Men Origins Wolverine.
But I think Fox would prefer we just forget the latter.

Spoiler:
Not gonna lie, I totally got a Liev Schreiber (Origins Sabretooth) vibe from X-24 at first. If they brought him in like how you suggested I would've been down with that, though I disliked X1 Sabretooth and prefer the other. At least Liev can actually act and do more than little growls.
Still, basically agree overall, but in regards to the mutant population, I have to agree with this more.

However it still bugs me howSpoiler:
the movie never explains how the Mutant population was culled or specify the cause. This is jarring as it really make it hard to believe that all the powerful mutants alive and well by the end of DoFP suddenly die a decade later. Also the idea of X-24 existing with Laura in the picture is weird considering her origin.

Was Mr. Sinister behind Logan's villains? In Apocalypse post credit scene his corp's workers came to grab the bloodsample of Weapon-X.

Spoiler:
It has something to do with the corn?genetically modified corn syrup crops have been altered – possibly by Zander Rice – to supress the mutant gene. This leaves his team with the sole ability to create and control mutants, which they plan to do so as weapons.

They were gonna have Sinister originally but decided not to in the end since they apparently felt he wouldn't of fit in with the tone of the rest of the film. Sabretooth was also considered similarly but scrapped.
Also the whole X-23/24 thing lined up with the post credit scene in Apocalypse.
