Logan (2017)

I have a bad feeling they aren't going to recast Logan after Jackman departs, and just replace him with X-23.

Just like they did in the comics?

Yeah, but at least the comics still have Old Man Logan.

There's apparently plans to bring back Logan in the comics.

I wouldn't mind Wolverine taking a break from films and 'aving Laura shine if done right. I prefer that to them rushing a new WOlverine cast.

I'd rather they just reboot the whole X-verse, and recast everyone, TBH.

And what's with having a few X-Men comics shown there in the trailer/film like that? Don't be doing that 4th wall kind of stuff unless you're Deadpool.
makes sense. The world knows about them, why wouldn't people make comics about it? It's no different than kids in comic books wearing superhero costumes on Halloween.

Eh, I suppose.

Same. It's had more misses than hits.

Anyway, this still looks decent, but hope this isn't the X-23 we're stuck with for films to come.

I'm on board so far. Looks good.

Also i wonder how much of X-23 that they're going to change, Is she still going to be a clone of Logan or is it going to be something else for the movie.

the way Charles talk about her in the trailer, it sounds like she's a clone. I certainly doesn't sound like she's his daughter or something.

She was basically confirmed as a clone at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse.

Also can see Mister Sinister in the trailer, I understand them changing his costume for live action but hope we see the iconic red diamond on his forehead.

Oh yeah, forgot about Sinister... After Apocalypse who was barely passable for me and shit for some others, not expecting much as far as Essex. 🙁 The kind of emotional weight this movie has unlike the other X-films I think will be the main positive, regardless.

From what i've read he won't be in the movie afterall, Mangold's choice to not use him to keep with the films grounded style

Richard E. Grant is Zander Rice, The guy involved with the creation of X-23. His father worked on the Weapon X program which Wolverine killed.

Can't say I'm surprised

Well they've had him Dead/Stuck in adamantium for at least for 2 years, Seems to be the average length for a characters death nowadays.

That may be for the best then. Kinda questioned if Sinister would've mixed well with the tone of the rest of the film. Oh well, maybe he'll still be used in the future.

Saw another trailer for this before John Wick 2.

Looks weak to me. The decrease in budget is too glaringly obvious. Even Deadpool looked pretty high budget for what it was.

You sure love going against the grain.
