Nope, it was definitely Professor Hulk. Prof Hulk's appearance also matches Savage's appearance for much of his run iirc.

However in the previous Avengers series the Avengers briefly fought a future version of Apocalypse and his Horsemen, and Thor ended knocking Apocalypse around a bit despite his Horsemen trying to help him.

Other than that I've never seen Apocalypse beat anyone half way decent. He certainly isn't top tier or herald level, not even close.
