I think all these characters have pretty much confirmed not to be playable. As they've been revealed to be assists.

I agree. I'd like some more 3D MK characters to return. I know a lot of them were pretty lackluster and some were just given other character's movesets. But the pre trilogy characters weren't the best in the 3D era either. If given a chance, NRS could improve the 3D era characters and they'd end up being great.

I'm glad Tremor's finally getting his proper due, but Tanya? Eh...

According to a source whom had received a review copy, iconic characters such as Rain, Baraka, Sindel, Kabal, Smoke and Sektor have been seen as NPCs that you can face off against in the story mode of Mortal Kombat X. It was also noted that all of these characters have design changes varying from minimal to drastic.

Kinda sad for Rain but if done well Tremor should be as cool as him.Imo.

Tanya was badass in 4. They ruined her in MK-D and MK-A. Hopefully they bring her back to he former glory

Glad to have her over someone like Frost or Kira though (even if my top female picks would've been Li Mei or Sareena), and like the haircut they gave her and how much more evil she looks now. lol

That corkscrew kick was badass. And the fireball was nice but what put it over the top was she could do it mid jump. In the later games she kinda flew and tossed it but that was horrible. The original way was more like how Akuma does it.

Like how guys such as Liu Kang could always use their fireballs in midair? The corkscrew kick was cool though, yeah. Am sure they'll give her some new moves regardless, making her feel a bit more fresh again.

The later 3D games ruined a lot of characters' gameplay/moves in that sense, although Deception's still one of my favorite MK's from a plot standpoint.

No her's would fire downward. Like Akuma's from Street Fighter. It was great for offense and defense. Kang's goes straight across the screen.

I agree. Deception ruined her and Sindel imo but the story was great. Armageddon ruined almost everyone

Hm... Am assuming Tanya and Tremor won't be part of the story outside of background characters, but I hope at least Tremor possibly gets more of a role the next game (I guess like Kenshi from MK9 to MKX), and that he doesn't just fade into obscurity like I assume Skarlet did.

Storywise Kotal is the best no doubt....

What we have seen from gameplay....Takeda is easily the most badass.Imo

From the old roster I really like Johnny's new design ,Ermac looks great,Scorpion and Sub Zero as great as always I like Quan Chi but only his Warlock variation.

Cant wait to see Goro in action.

Kotal Khan but I like that we finally get another Shirai Ryu member. We got 1.5 Tarkatan, 2 Shaolin Monks, 3 Shokan, 3 Red Dragons, 5 Black Dragons, and 6 Lin Kuei. Scoripon needs some back up!
