I'm okay with Nintendo. I'm a proud owner of their handhelds. My only beef is with their consoles.
They should leave it to Sony and Microsoft; the Wii U is just not good enough against the PS4 and Xbone.PS:
I'm somewhat disappointed that Sony didn't show The Last Guardian.
This may just be me, but the thing I see wrong right now is that Nintendo is the only one of them I'm excited about.
It seems like during last E3 Sony and Microsoft were just pimping hardware while mad-dogging the shit out of each other because they knew they didn't have much else while Nintendo was actually showcasing what game consoles should: games.
Even now, it feels as is they have shit-all to offer, and I've been hoping they would give me more reason to buy one of their systems besides Halo and Infamous.
Every argument for why "Nintendo should drop consoles" could also be made for why "PCs should just replace consoles". Honestly, I find it would be a boring world without any of them. Having something to set everyone apart, IMO, is the only thing that truly keeps the gaming industry thriving.

That's whats already happening. Consoles are evolving to the point where they're basically just PC's with a Sony or Microsoft brand on the casing, like Alienware computers.

Uhhh, yup. The consoles ARE PCs. They function like dumbed down PCs with media center features. The difference between consoles and PCs is your PCs have much more scalability and options (and more cost).
Yep, though the cost difference is getting smaller and smaller.
IIRC recently, someone managed to build a pc with a higher spec than an XBONE, while still not paying much more than an XBONE actually costs.
With Steam still growing and pc's getting cheaper, I think it's only a matter of time before devs turn around and stop being dicks. Less horrible ports and optimization, please.
