Nope, they do not give mastery over any aspect because they can be overruled by powers beyond them; this was proved in Warlock and the Infinity Watch #1 when the Tribunal shocked Warlock and reversed his temper tantrum...
Powers beyond the LT should be fully capable of reversing the IG as well (like Scathan and Protege)...

Things have changed and since Warlock and the Infinity Watch #1, the Gems no longer give mastery over anything as there are powers beyond it...
Tribunal could have taken the Gems by force, but it would have wrecked reality...
Unbound CCU has already proved greater than the IG by recreating all the gems without effort...
