Jubilee would not be recasted, same goes with everyone else, and the only chance they would be, was if they quit the film. Gwen Stefani, no. Spears, no. Dazzler doesn't even need to be in it. They need to focus on story as well, not just showing everyone. Cable is a good character, but he has no purpose in this type of film, so even though he'd be cool to see on the big screen, I'd prefer not to have him rather than to throw him in and add too much to the movie so where it doesn't make any sense. Jubilee, I'm hoping, won't really have a bigger part in this. Her character is sorta played by Rogue now, so I don't think we really need another teenage girl on the roster.
Granted there are a few minor exceptions, but can you honestly say you'd want to see someone like Anna Kournikova take a part JUST because she's blonde? I've heard people suggesting her for Sue Storm...now c'mon. Next, they're gonna want Donovan McNabb to play Bishop just cause he's black. Its not ALL about the looks people. Just because Brock Lesnar from whatever the WWF calls itself now, is big, he shouldn't play the next Terminator, and just because Andre Agassi is bald, he should play Lex Luthor.

Thats what i said... I couldn't think of a pro athlete off the top of my head, but I suggested college as an alternative. Dean Cain did play ball (Football for those of you who aren't truly enlightened) and he WAS a professional athlete. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills.
A little side note here... Mr Tanaka...Dean Cains birth name is afraid of flying...Superman is scared of heights???? 😆
Oh and PR1983.. he was an athlete first according to my reading... so he does count... there is always exceptions to a rule.
And I still say that Bob Eucker is a natural actor. He was such a clown in baseball that the ability came thru when he switched over to acting... anyone see the movie Major League? He played Harry Doyle the announcer... and don't give me that "its a sports movie" crap. He is a damn fine comedic actor
BTW.. just saw Anna Paquin in that movie darkness.... i was right in my original opinion of her acting abilities...she sucks. the movie was nothing to write home about.. and there was nothing in the way of supporting acting, but this is a perfect place for an actor or actress to make a move to prominence. Many actors have taken roles like this to show their star power. She has NONE.
Burt Reynolds, Tommy Lee Jones, Warren Beatty, even good old Ronald Reagan all had football scholarships. I'm sure theres been plenty others you just dont know about. I think in some cases college athletes make better actors because theyve been around, not confined to the acting community their whole life
