Yeah. I totally agree. I like Nightcrawler too. Its stupid that he's only going to be in one of the movies...
I wreckon she'll have super human strength bcuz they wann keep it as real as possible, but from the various scripts i have read i would have to say that i think she may be able to fly as will storm bcuz from things i have read Jean Grey also gets a shot at flyin, this sorta worries me bcuz i realised it cud be very badly down and very distasteful, any1 got nethin to share (my opinion only sorry no offence ot ne1)
Nightcrawler: I can see why they didn't keep him...but I think he should have a cameo, or at the very least, he should be mentioned. Someone should say "Kurt took Jubilee out for some training" or something.
Gambit: Deserves to be in a movie more than a cameo...but idk what they'll do with him. He's an awesome character though...idk about casting either.
Beast: I've never been a big fan, and I hope he's not a huge character cause I think he's rather boring and nothing really original...however, I love the idea of having Kelsey Grammar casted as him...would've worked better if they hadnt' have had that other guy do the cameo. X-Men movies are terrible with keeping up their casting, aren't they?
Angel: I always thought Archangel was cooler...and I never liked Angel that much...and I don't see why they'll focus on him...and I don't want them to. Casting-wise, I have absolutely no idea. I just hope he isn't the main character or anything.
Stacey X or whatever that thing is: C'mon, I don't recognize it at all, must not be huge, and from what I've heard, she's pointless.
Who I'd like to see, even as much as a cameo (besides all the ones that have shown up already, of course):
Gambit, Beast, Avalanche, Blob, Sentinels (damn you for not using that, I know they won't).
Storm and Jean should be able to fly in this, and Rogue's powers should be upped, but I'd rather not have her fly yet, just use the strength or something. Maybe she can get that from Juggernaut, that'd make sense.
Rogue flying without any reason would take away from the relatively real world based tone that the last two movies set. They would have to find a reason for her to fly. If Jean flies attributed to her telekinesis, or Storm by her winds, or Angel using his wings that's fine... but Rogue flying in a movie without any reasonable explanation (I don't think the moviegoing public would accept "in the time between x2 and x3 I permanently stole the power of flight from a woman who gained them by being irradiated by Kree alien technology"😉 would seem strange at best and ridiculous at worst.
I'd probably prefer character development with Rogue in terms of touching more upon how she also absorbs memories and psyche's and how this affects her e.g. after she drained Pyro she should have seen the crappy probably abusive family life he had, and what would driven him to take Magneto's views, which would have provided character development for both her and Pyro.
I would have liked him back but it never really implied that Nightcrawler would be joining the X-Men roster in X2, he still wears his circus garb, while the rest, including Rogue and Iceman are in uniform.
Sentinel concept designs were made for the first two films... as were Danger Room designs. I'm hoping we at the very least get one or the other in this movie.
I agree with you about the Rogue thing, suspension of disbelief only goes so far when you're trying to make things at least somewhat realistic.
Nightcrawler, yeah, he's always been a big character but how many times do you see X-Men and you see Nightcrawler over someone like Cyclops or something, right? He's not the biggest member, and isn't really truly needed, albeit he is awesome and was acted very well by Cumming.
Danger Room I'd like to see in this, without a doubt, but if the plot is as confusing as I've been hearing, with Juggernaut, Magneto, Angel's de-mutant thing, and Beast all together...I don't think we have even time for a Sentinel cameo. I think it would've been better to have that be the focus of #2, and make it so that was what they needed to join together to defeat.
That is, of course, unless they decide to do another film. If they do, then Sentinels should definitely be in there, or Apocalypse 🙂 lol
Well according to posts i have read on the internet by websites, the script that was posted was 4 months old and they have scrapped it, according to websites etc they are putting the finishing touches on the other one so it cud be all v.different. As for Nightcrawler but it really annoyed me the way they said they werent going to fit him. in an update i read on a website said that according to the new script there may be apart for cumming after all. But this all maybe website bull****! so maybe cyclpos doesnt die or wat ever maybe there cud be sentinals in it,maybe they dont use the virus idea were u get de-mutantized??? i think this puts everything back on the table. any1 agree?
The "script" was apparently an old draft. So a lot of rewrites and changes have probably been done but then again the things that people have not liked may still be in there.
If any of that old draft crap stays personally if they are going to de-mutant a mutant they shouldn't do it to Mystique. She has spin-off potential and Marvel/Fox are pretty stupid if they don't realise that.
How recent is this update. Because last I heard, Avi Arad said that there would be no Nightcrawler in X3, and Alan Cumming stated himself that he will not be returning for X3 recently.
about a week old id say, maybe less it says X-men 3 update on cumming so i dunno and any movie site ive been on ive seen alan cummings name on the cast list, which i found odd until i read the "update"... how dissapointing about mystique though, she was about the only mutant in there tha could hold anythin to magneto, if its still in there does that mean magneto will want to kill her along with every oither human?i mean she is such a good charcter with the best moves and is prob only the sexiest woman in the whole movie(not including halle berry o course) AHHHHH the frustration is gettin to me, also i read that according to halle berry that bcuz this is the last x-men movie they are doing it cpould well run into over 4 hrs long????!!!!
Thats a very long time! i mean it would be gr8 if it was that long but four hours in a cinema(theatre to who ever calls it that) is a long time...shouldnt they just split it up to two movies(like the matrix reloaded and the matrix revolutions?) Halle berry also stated in her interview that u will see every mutants potential power(by this i think she means,every charcter will have amazing abilites ie rogue-super human strength and storm being able to fly) I mean if they are running with the phoenix story line everythin will have to be over done) ryt? does this worry any1 else?

I don't like the idea of Stacy X at all. Maybe if it's a short cameo. I think X3 should involve the externals/thieves guilds. Introducing
Selene, Gambit, Gideon and Mr. Sinister, with Beast and the New Mutant class (Rogue, Iceman, Siryn, Clossus and Shadowcat), then Stacy X could be a "working girl" for Sinister or something.
...or maybe the mutant massacre. that would still involve Gambit and Sinister, Angel, Marrow (played by Dakota Fanning). Beast could have retreated to the morlock tunnels after his experiment, but after encountering Xavier, he joins the staff at the institute. there could be an indirect plot involving training in the danger room and using those skills during battle as the X-men and the younger mutants encounter the mutant underworld.
(it'd be difficult to fit in the Phoenix, but i'm hoping they sign on for more sequels to explain that story later.)
If you bring the story of the Morlocks in to play, then you HAVE to give Storm more "pull". She becomes the leader of the Morlocks. This was one of the steps in the comic that moved her up from a hesitant 2nd leader to a total badass.
And weather you like Halle or not...she can play a B1tch when she wants to... and a pissed of bitchy storm queen...sounds like a nice set of scenes to me
