Yeah but I didn't mind Kelsey, he sort of fits the character and he's a pretty good actor. His facial structure even sort of resembles Beast from TAS. They need good CGI/prosphetics and it should work. Anna doesn't seem like Rogue partially due to the way Rogue is written.. she needs to start being written more confident. No flight without reason though, the general public can only suspend so much disbelief. Besides Anna has acting cred, she's like one of the youngest ever Oscar winners and I gotta support her cos she's an NZer 😄. Marsden wasn't good (did "but they were still good" refer to him too?) but it didn't matter because he was barely in them lol.

Jackman was the biggest gamble and it paid off. But then the execs have made crappy decisions, Marsden and Halle Berry the most notable.

Ben Foster as billionaire playboy? Stick perfect prosphetic/CGI wings on him...? Still can't really see it. Is he a good actor at all? Maybe he'll convince me.

I really don't think they'll be able to fit the comic book Apoc into the movies without drastically altering him. For one thing they'll have to get rid of the giant A on his body 😄 Sinister's more likely, he could be a pasty geneticist named Dr Nathaniel Essex with completely fluid molecules and creepy blood red eyes similar to Mystiques. Back in the day Christopher Walken would have made a good Sinister but he's too old now prolly.

I really liked anna as rogue,I was talking about what other ppl said not what I thought. Yeah I was including james I thought he was fine,it was singer's fault for totally underusing him-idiot.(plus james is hot lol) Halle sucked but like I said james was fine.As for angel I hope he's good.As for kelsey as beast-no the man is fugly and looks nothing like him. 😘

I swear one person says halle berry was crap i will kill them! storm is my favourite character leave her alone lisa! just cuz ur into boring old wolverine!

Halle Berry was crap.

At least Hugh is sexy as hell.

OK Lisa...if sexy is all that your worried about, then Marsden was crap.... Anna will remain crap until she gets a bod...ANY bod will do (she has none), Halle is a Goddess...in more than just her role 😱

Stamos is too hot...and so on. Now to comment about acting...Storm is a bad ass character..Halle can pull her off, just cut her loose and watch.

I have not seen anything from Paquin, no I'm not talking about her body anymore..her ability to carry a movie.. i will have to watch this Piano movie to make an informed opinion, but so far...zip. Oh and by the way... this was a perfect quote on IMDB: "Anna Paquin, the young Canadian who grew up in New Zealand and whose only acting experience was as a skunk at a school play..." Perfect, huh??

The new guy... Ben or whatever? Who the hell is he... i saw his pic and I'm still like, HUH??? I don't mind unknowns....provided they have skills.

Next X-Men

In future X-Men movies they should have:

Jubilee

Morph

Lance(Avalanche)

Juggernaut

Kitty Pryde(Shadow Cat)

Ice Man(who has full control of his powers)(full ice body and ice slide)

Angel

Spyke(Storm's nephew)

Quicksilver(fast)

Magma

Pheonix(no dought)

Storm(Storm is one of the greatest if not the best X-Men, yet she gets little attention or recognition in the movie.)(The movie doesn't even mention anything about her and wolverine's love for one another.)(I think she should get a bigger part in the movies and maybe even a spin-off with wolverine.)

berzerker(a new edition generates pulsing bolts of electrical energy)

Cannonball( Expels thermo-chemical energy that propels him with extreme force)

What would really blow everyone's socks off is if they made a movie of Marvel heroes together fighting against an ultimate evil.

Rebuttal on my part.

Jubilee - No. Rogue and Shadowcat are good, just look at the cute mini-plots in Ultimate-verse. Throwing Jubilee would be annoying, and Rogue is already Logan's makeshift sidekick. Cameos were cute.

Morph - Comic relief of the Exiles. Though much more flexible than Mystique, let's keep Raven the only shapeshifter.

Lance (Avalanche) - His real name is Dominic. Step away from Evo.

Juggernaut - Yeah, but the script leak (I KNOW I KNOW OUTDATED DONT TELL ME) description was him as a lackey. Don't want that. I want him a killer thorn in the X-Men's side as they try to stop the overall menace. Ultimate look was cool.

Kitty - Yeah, I like Kitty. Might as well follow her Ultimate personality.

Iceman - With full powers? Unlikely. Him going into ice-mode suddenly would be cool, but then he reverts back and can't go there again.

Angel - Yeah. Older, smarter one and not Ultimate but still cool. No Kia Asimaya lame uniform.

Spyke - No. Marrow, please, for the Morlocks.

Quicksilver - Yeah, definitely more of an X-Character then Avengers I think. He'd be a cool addition to the Brotherhood.

Magma - Nah, enough New Mutants.

Phoenix - Blah blah blah blah.

Storm - Yeah. Halle Berry whatever. More flying.

Berzeker - Enough Evo, already.

Cannonball - Nope.

It'd only blow my socks if they called it X-Men 3: X-Men Only.

Besides, a SECRET WARS film would be cool for that scene.

I think wolverine is a little over-rated. cyclops is the leader of the X-Men(aside Professor X) yet wolverine gets all of the attention.

I agree with Halle, in the cartoon Storm is like this ass kicking weather god who's damn near unstopable, yet she fights the toad, who in the comics would never be a worthy opponent. But in X1 Storm almost lost to frog boy, but she zapped the little freak, and tha was about the most action she had in the movie. In X2 she's just there. Halle is an award winning actress, and she is reduced to this. So if I was Halle I wouldn't sign for the next movie either unless she gets more attention and Storm turns into the Kick-ass titan she really is.

Not Happening

Nightcrawler and Storm, for sure!! 😉 They would definately make an amazingly cute couple.

Storm and Wolverine are in love, and were almost married. Which they failed to mention anything about in the movies. Probaly because of the Jean Grey thing.

Erm...wasn't that in an alternate timeline? Which in all fairness would be a little warped? Logan's best known romance was the love he felt for Jean Grey. Secondly Lady Deathstrike. If I were you, I'd be more pissed about the fact that no love affair was mentioned between our two adamantium warriors.

Yeah i mean storm has these sh** abilities in the first two movies, like in X2 the fat girl that runs around the x-mansion gets more sceens than storm...cut her some slack, she cud be an amazing addition 😄 Hasnt jubilee been brought into the movies, well her sceen time was cut but on the dvd it shows u her powers manifesting in the museum|? (dont even get me started on how much wolverine is played up, he gets all the attention in both movies, with the exception to paquin who plays a significant role in the first movie).... As much as i dislike cyclops in the 2nd movie he was given a very small part i mean whats up with that?

I hope juggernaut gets a better part and i hope gambit is in it, they r kick ass characters and i think they should follow the ultimate storyline with gambit and rogue! that way anna gets to be more kick-ass, any1 agree?

I agree I mean Rogue didn't even really do much in X2...other than fly the jet....a human could have did that.

In Uncanny, there's a terribly written love rectangle between Kurt-Rachel-Storm-Logan right now. Storm and Logan make out whenever they get a chance. This was such a sudden love fling. Rachel and Kurt constantly kiss and flirt, though Kurt's been flirting with Psylocke now, too, but whenever he sees Storm with Logan, he gets all doe eyed and its so stupid. Kurt needs Stacy X.

they're just like the cast of friends.Everyone tags everyone because they've already tagged everyone else.

I can't stand wolvy he gets on my nerves, plus I never said storm was crap-I like her I just think halle wasn't good. 😉

As a loyal reader of the comics for decades, this is the X3 I would like to see...

The movie opens with a circa 1930s home. 2 boys are home from school, a large red haired boy & a younger boy with very little hair. Mother is sneaking drinks. Father comes home and proceeds to beat mother. When youngest boy tries to stop him Father beats him too. The boy is unable to save his mother (to whom he bears a striking resemblance). As the youngest boy lies bleeding & mother is unconscious, the father starts shoving the elder boy (who looks more like the father) around, talking about the lesson he’s teaching, that the only true power is power. We find out the boys are step brothers, their parents married for only a few years. When the father leaves again, the eldest boy looks and the younger one on the floor, and begins to kick & pummel him to near unconsciousness. Only an odd look from the young boy stops the bigger brother in his tracks, and the red haired boy slumps to the corner with a dumb look on his face. The younger boy smiles slightly before passing out.
Opening credits to X3, with some possible subtitle as needed.
In the present day, we see the rec room of Xavier’s school where Kurt & Logan are watching an old movie one evening, each with a beer in hand, joking back & forth. It’s an old Errol Flynn movie, and Kurt is so excited by the movie that he’s bouncing off the back of the couch, hanging from the ceiling, all the while never spilling his beer. He mimics the movements in the film, making swashbuckling sword motions with a curtain rod. It seems Mr. Wagner has finally found a place he is comfortable, a place where he can be himself, a place where he belongs. Just then Xavier rolls in, calls everyone in the mansion into the rec room telepathically, and changes the channel. The President is on news. In response to Xavier’s little lecture at the end of the last movie, he is holding a press conference to announce how his administration is going to settle the debate over the whole mutant situation. He introduces Valerie Cooper, who says that there will be no Mutant Registration Act, but a government sanctioned mutant police force instead. “Will they protect us?” a child asks. “They won’t have to.” The Professor replies. He takes them all down to the sub-basement where he shows them the Danger Room, so that what happened with the soldiers taking over the school can never happen again. After a quick overview he asks Rogue, Bobby and Kitty, who were whispering, laughing & not paying attention, to give a demonstration. Nightcrawler, thinking it looks fun, like his days in the circus, bamfs back in his old circus costume and joins in. Bobby “tries a new trick he’s been working on” & ices up completely, utilizing an ice ramp. Between flirting, jealousy & showing off to impress, something goes wrong. Nightcrawler is able to teleport Rogue away back to the control room and Kitty pulls Bobby town of top of her out of the way, phasing him out of danger. Rogue sees them touching, looking close into each others’ eyes, and she storms out of the room. Cut to the newly remodeled Alkali Lake. Near the shore we see Hank McCoy in a temporary building on a computer, remotely accessing what we recognize as Striker’s files. He is surrounded by high voltage machines & beakers of glowey liquid. He has been granted access to this information due to the man he works for, Warren Worthington Jr., has received authorization from the government for McCoy to use this in his own research into mutation. McCoy is actually attempting to isolate in an unstable isotope the genetic material responsible for mutation. McCoy finds out through overhearing a communications broadcast that Worthington Jr. is funding this project because he wants to use McCoy’s research to “cure” his son. Knowing he is a mutant himself, McCoy quits, morally opposed to what his employer is doing. As he is attempting to leave, a large red-haired man busts into the building, ranting that what McCoy has found can make him stronger, better, more powerful. The isotopes are broken open & spill onto both men in the struggle, as well as the high voltage machinery. There is a large explosion, the effects of which are shown rippling through the lake. Back at the Worthington estate in New Mexico, Warren the third overhears his father’s disappointment on a phone call about the disaster at Alkali Lake, and is not happy at father’s attempt to reverse his mutation, and says he is leaving for “that school you talked about.” Angrily, he unfolds his wings, and flies out the window. Back in New York, they have a visitor at the school. It is Scott’s younger brother, Alex, who has been commissioned by Val Cooper to lead the federal mutant police force, or X-Factor as they’re calling it. They discuss philosophies & ideologies, and Havoc hints that if this doesn’t work the secretary of defense wants to let someone named Bolivar Trask try his idea, which at least part of his plan would involve re-instituting the Mutant Registration Act, and what could be worse than that? So they both agree they can’t let that happen. So, even though the team will be perceived as hunting their own kind, Havoc says that they’re all good people, doing what they think is right, just like Scott always taught him to do. The X-Factor team can be made up of any characters the studio wishes, but hopefully Cannonball, Blink, Gambit, Multiple Man, Husk, Marrow, Morph, whoever. (tbc...)

Just then Beast, an old friend of Professor X, shows up at mansion, stepping out of the shadows, blue & fuzzy, further mutated by the accident in Canada. We then go back to Angel, wings hidden, sitting in a club in New York. You can tell by looking around that it is a safe haven for mutants, very much a “keep to yourself to stay alive” kind of place. A bunch of familiar faces from the Marauders & Morlocks maybe. Then we see Sabertooth, Toad, Pyro, and we finally see Mystique & Magneto are there too. They are attempting to use pride, propaganda, bullying and scare tactics to recruit some of the crowd to their cause. Both the X-Men & X-Factor show up, but due to management & style conflicts the Brotherhood gets away. Scott & Alex are having a heated discussion about who is at fault for the bad guys getting away, when one of the mutants, the singer in the club, Dazzler, walks up & kisses Scott passionately in thanks for saving them. Just as she’s doing this, Jean walks in the door & is pissed. Manifesting a small version of the Phoenix energy signature, she tosses Allison & Scott across the room and against a wall, but before she can go after them Alex knocks her out, not knowing who she is. Jean wakes up having little to no memory of anything since Alkali Lake, she barely remembers that. But Beast & Professor X determine that Jean must have placed herself in some sort of telekinetic stasis field under the lake, and the blast that transformed Beast augmented her powers to the point where she must have awoken, brought herself to the surface, and found her way home. They test out her new level of abilities in Danger Room. Floating amongst the still small bird of fire, she is more aggressing than she’s ever been, more destructive. And as her powers seem to peak, the others around her fell weaker & weaker, and just as she stops using her power, the signs of fatigue vanish. She returns to the ground again, very smug & confident. Feeling like they could all use some R&R, Xavier schedules an outing into the city. Some of the girls go shopping, the kids hit the arcade, Logan goes to a bar, & Scott & Jean go on a nice romantic date. Scott again shows concern about the level of Jean’s new power. To prove that what she has is a good thing, she takes off his glasses and his optic blast does not fire. They finally look each other in the eyes as they kiss. Xavier happens to be in the same locale, & they invite him over, but upon seeing his X-Men in a private moment he excuses himself to leave. Just then who should come busting through the wall but Juggernaut, full costume, helmet in full effect to keep Xavier out of his mind. He’s angry at his step-brother’s mental manipulation of him as a kid, and blames him for the death of his father. All the nearby X-Men come running, joining the fight. Here we get to see Juggernaut VS Colossus, toe to toe. In the process of the struggle, many city blocks are demolished. Jean seems to be the only one making any headway, but with every hit, Jean seems to be pushed closer & closer to the breaking point, until she snaps and the largest firebird we’ve seen yet surrounds her as she takes to the sky. Xavier comments to Beast that he will stay out of heads from now on, seeing the effect it had on Cain. “If I continue to abuse that gift, I’m no better than those we seek to stop.” Beast points out that the stronger Jean gets, the weaker those around her become, almost as if the Phoenix feeds off the life force of others. Juggernaut is still an unstoppable force, and there’s little the other X-Men who have gathered can do but watch, as Phoenix, now amazingly powerful, finally disposes of Cain, using his own momentum against him, hurling him south, far across the continent. Much property has been destroyed and people were killed in the process. Some were caught in the blast, some crushed by the debris, and others have had their life force completely drained to power the Phoenix. Phoenix, exhausted but still power crazy, starts to suck the people of New York dry. But Xavier stops her before she’s too powerful. A comment is made that his vow about staying out of people’s heads didn’t last long, to which he replies there’s a difference between what he has done in the past and the work ahead of him. They take her back to the school where they attempt to get a grip on the Phoenix power before it’s too late. Seeing footage of what happened, the President tells Val Cooper to deal with it. She makes the order to X-Factor to bring Jean in at any cost, dead or alive. So X-Factor comes after Phoenix at the school, but the students, due to their time in the Danger Room, are a little more prepared this time, and what follows is an all-out mutant brawl in the mighty Marvel manner. In the midst of the combat Phoenix goes cosmic, sucking life forces dry, and both teams turn on her, needing to take her down for the sake of the world. Both Cyclops and Wolverine have opportunities to kill her, but can’t bring themselves to do so. Storm whips up her biggest storm yet, floating in the eye of the storm, even with Jean, hitting her with everything she’s got. In the midst of Storm’s winds beating against Jean with slightly noticeable effect, Logan has an idea, and has Colossus, with the help of the wind, fling him at Phoenix, calling it a Fastball Special. Having some sense knocked back into her by the Fastball Special, and seeing how her powers are affecting those she loves, Phoenix sacrifices herself to save the world.

Magneto busts into Alcatraz and frees a bunch of mutants for The
Brotherhood, most natably Juggernaut, Avalanche, Cannonball, and Gambit (this is all based on speculation from the AICN script review).

The Brotherhood would now consist of:

-Magneto
-Mystique
-Pyro
-Juggernaut
-Avalanche
-Cannonball
-Gambit

alcatraz? so they're gonna make the musem of an old prison into a working prison in the film...
from new york to san fransisco is a long trip for magneto to get his henchman. lol
but he is the type to know where the powerful are.

I guess if you want a strong brotherhood you gotta willing to travel.
