No, she didn't because they totally skipped the part of when Rogue runs into Mystique and becoming a part of her team before even joining the X-Men and that's whne she absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers killing her.
They should put it in as a flashback...like Rogue getting flashes of actually doing it since when she absorbed her powers she lost her memory of those events. Give Rogue more of a 3 dimensional background then what she has now in the movies. I dunno just a suggestion that could make Rogue a bit more interesting.
Oh okay I get what you're saying now! I thought you were saying it already happened in the movies. Yeah I think that would be a good idea, they could have done that in the 2nd movie, but it's too late to do that now in the 3rd. It would be considered too long for the powers to have surfaced....unless she was just hiding them!! Yeah and she was pretending to be wimpy so that they wouldn't get mad at her for draining Ms. Marvel!!!
I cant see the movie rouge being effective as far as a fight scene goes, they made her skitish and look weak by running around and screaming and the only people to have felt her power's are her own teamates.
(Magneto was delibret.
(Pyro was with the X-men at the time.
(that guy in the begining........forget him.
tho I would have liked seeing Rouge kick some ass, now if she does it wont seem right to me
I posted this idea elsewhere.
The Phoenix thing will obviously be the main plot line, but I'm thinking of a secondary one. Introduce Gambit, the way he was in the comics. He meets up with Storm who's been turned into a child! Not only does that relationship work, but it would deal with the the whole Halle Berry thing. Right?
how would storm get turned into a child?cant see it working in a film but id be up for gambit being introduced through storm.maybe give gambit his own film with storm included in the background?
i liked rogue in the comics but she'd be way to powerful in the movies, how about a she flirts with evil (like willow in buffy but obviously no witch stuff).how about she goes a little crazy when she realises she can absorb other peoples feelings-like she finds out stuff about wolverine that she's suppressed (ie from when they touch in the first movie)
even though it may sound lame, a prequel could work well as the xmen obviously were around before wolverine or rougue.how about a pre-wheel chair xavier,a young jean?this way cyclops backstory can get developed and/or storm's?better still "new" characfers can get bought in but either leave before x1 or die.hank mccoy?archangel?it could even be previous generation of xmen when magneo was seen as less of a threat.does anyone think that thatcould work?obviously not before x3 and 4 though
I suppose Storm could be made into a child the way she was in the comics.
Well....I can see the opening titles. (Vision mode!)
Names comes up on the screen..etc etc.... it's raining. (pardon the pun) A storm is out of control. Someone's running. Eventaully...pan up, we see it's a little girl. More importantly, she is Storm, and we know by the white hair. She's obviously bein' chased. It's gets real scarey as they close in on her, but then she either comes to a dead end or she gets caught. Then, before she is taken away or something bad happens, we see something red/pink glowing brightly, before a big arsin' explosion.
After it all calms down. Storm looks up and and see the wonderous sight of Gambit!!!
I dunno. Just a thought.
yeah me too,the only real flaw would be the absence of wolverine but he gets loads of screen time anyway.they could show storm's intro too.
how about yuou meet gambit in a prequel when he meets a young storm?he could be in a prequel then brought back again, youd have to assume storm was mid twenties in the current movies and hgambit mid-thirties?thatd work
WOOT! I'm loving this idea! And pardon my interruption which has nothing to do with anything, but how the fruit do I make my banner bigger? It looks so stupid being that little, ya can't even see it! Oh yeah, and to possibly tie the Rogue story and the Remy/Storm thing, maybe Rogue gets a little curious and tries to find out something about the Cajun? ... I dunno, just a little thought. 🙂
Phoenix: During Jean Grey's last words, which I think ended the movie, she talks about evolution, and evolutionary jumps. I would imagine that she will have an enormous amount of power, do any of you remember what she could do in the comics and the cartoons? I would imagine that she would at first be consumed by the power, which might give the government reason to deploy the sentinels. Just as the sentinels are about to attack, the team (who has been combating them and are getting beaten badly) could be saved by none other than the Phoenix.
As for Gambit, I love the Rogue/Gambit triangle, but it looks like they are using Iceman to cover that base previously filled by Remy. IF Gambit is introduced, he will probably charm most of the females at the school, and possibly date Kitty Pyrde or one or two of the other girls (if younger), remember how close he and Jubilee were? The love triangle might be similar to the Jean Grey/Scott/Wolverine triad, but it could go either way, unlike the older couple's triangle.
I love Storm, don't get me wrong, but Halle doesn't necessarily need to play her, and yes, I hope she comes back, and I hope that things are okay between her and the director, but we can't always have what we want, can we? I'm of the opinion that they will probably, for the most part, stick to just three movies, with possibly a fourth or fifth, provided that they decide that they would profit and also complete the history of the movies... See, the movies aren't like the comics, as we all know, so it could be hard for them to justify not having more movies at the end of the next one.
Apocalypse... My favorite all around, all time bad-guy... I'd love to see just him and possibly a nameless, but acted, group of Four Horsemen... I say nameless simply because yes you could introduce Archangel, but he doesn't have to be a major player, he would of course be a minor character in the main plots most likely... I would imagine that even if Apocalypse or Sinister were to be included, that it would increase the complexity too much for the fan that is not an expert, can anyone say Jean Grey clone that has Scott's child (Cable?) who then becomes evil? I would imagine that would infuriate Jean, and I imagine that being the Phoenix that she might turn the clone to ashes (Madam Prylor I believe), but this would not work well with what most likely would happen (Anyone say they'd have to up the time slot to allow for a child to be born, and for Scott and Wolverine to get over Jean?)
I do think that the Phoenix and sentinels will be large players, anyone say secret government military joint ventures? By the way, Henry Gyrich (sp?) was the one who invented the first Sentinels, in the cartoon and in the comics I believe.
I found this, and Im hopeing its legit((I also wanna see toad return))
Tyler Mane (the guy who played Sabretooth), signed a 2 picture deal, so he SHOULD be in X3.
He did survive the fall in X1. There were 2 pre X2 comics put out, one about Nightcrawler, and one about Wolverine, and in the Wolverine one he fought Sabretooth again.
These comics were actually written in cooperation with the movie people, so they do follow continuity. Basically what happens is while Logan is up in Canada, Sabretooth attacks him and as they're fighting one of them brings up the Weapon X project and they both agree to try and find out what happened to them. They actually end up having coffee together at a cafe and I THINK some military guys blow it up while they're both in there trying to kill them, but of course they both escape. Though Logan can't find Sabretooth in all the fire and smoke. I just flipped through it really quick, so I might've missed some stuff. But they were both pretty cool, especially the Nightcrawler one. It showed how Stryker tricked him with the mind controlling juice into thinking he was still in the Munich Circus and how he had a girlfriend who really cared for him, but in reality he was being held in a prison.
