Well, an old and dying Magneto was still able to control a large collection of metal shrapnel pieces when he was sealing up the door to Xavier, Kitty, Iceman and Wolverine towards the end of DoFP. Also, I think the Sentinel scene, with young Magneto, towards the end of DoFP would suggest that he is capable of the feat I am suggesting. He was levitating himself and a stadium that probably weighed thousands of tons, while steering 6 sentinels simultaneously and using them to attack people, while he was still a significant distance away.

If Sidious can maintain the choke then the match is over he is too fast to be hit by flying metal. So lets say he cannot maintain the hold for the sake of the battle. Magneto only advantage would be to do aerial attacks.

Sidious, is too fast for Magneto. Sidious could attack Magento from any direction or location with TK or force lighting. He also can send non-metal objects at Magneto that would force Magento to go on the defensive. Magento only chance is to hope there is enough metal around to throw at Sidious.

Well, I admit this is the one thing that is always key in any battle that features movie Magneto. Environment. If there is a lot of metal around, it is generally Magneto's battle to lose. If there isn't a lot of metal around, it significantly favours his opponent.

And as for Sidious' speed, this also depends on how much metal Magneto has to work with. If he has enough to cover a fairly large sized area in a shrapnel storm, speed and agility isn't going to help much. If he only has a few pieces to work with, then I can accept Sidious evading them. But I still am not convinced that Sidious, or any force user for that matter, can speedblitz while tking something for an extended period of time.

Basically, my view comes down to this. In a metal rich environment, Magneto wins. In an environment with very limited amounts of metal to work with, Sidious kills him. And this is why I did specifically state in a previous post that I see Spidey, Thor or Mags giving him trouble or possibly beating him. I never stated that Magneto would beat Sidious under any circumstances, as that would simply be incorrect. Their match is largely dependent on the surroundings.

Well, I think, for the purposes of this match at least, that it should be considered plausible. Otherwise, if a saber can't cut through adamantium, Sidious has no way of killing Wolverine. And seeing as Wolverine can't do shit to Sidious, the match would end up being Sidious using Wolverine as a mutant pinball, with no actual end result.

The Jedi during the clone wars fought multiple individuals at once coming from different directions with different weapons. Point that I am making is that since Sidious abilities and power out rank all of the Jedi and sith (except for Yoda).

Now don’t get me wrong it is a possibility for Magneto to hit Sidious and maybe KO him but very slim. There are just too many ways Sidious can attack him that can KO Magneto. These attacks can come both far and near.

Most important point. Sidious will have the advantage of being able to sense Magneto’s attacks whereas Magneto will not be able to do so.

Next point. In the ending of Revange of the Sith Vader upon hearing of Padme’s death crush everything in the room except for Sidious (most likely to due to his superiority in the force). Sidious the superior of the two would surely be able to do so to metals and objects that Magneto sends his way. Sidious may even crush Magneto helmet on his head or his bones.

Thor is the only one that I see who would definitely beat Sidious.

Well, we are kind of agreeing then. I see a case for Magneto winning fights, under certain circumstances. I also see a case for Sidious winning under different circumstances. You just give Sidious better odds than I do of pulling off more wins. There is no definitive proof that Mags can take out Sidious, but there is a potential for victory there.

As for the others, I see Spiderman giving him trouble and possibly eeking out a win if he can fight cleverly. Spidey is immensely strong, fast, durable and agile, and his spider sense will aid him in a similar manner precog will aid Sidious. Spiderman has dodged bullets at point blank range during the car jacking scene in AM1, and dodged all Rhino's attacks while swinging at him at the end of AM2. Not to mention keeping up with a pure energy being and dodging a lot of their attacks. So he is fast as hell really. I would however still give Sidious the edge due to having TK. Not sure choke and lightning would be as effective, considering he took a considerable bit of strangling by a super powered Goblin and didn't seem the worst for wear, and also tanked some powerful electrical blasts from Electro. But I can see things like force push giving him problems.

I agree with you with regards to Thor though. He is the only one on this list I can see taking a solid majority of wins against Sidious.
