I was really hoping she'd get killed off in 2. I'd heard rumors that she would, and my body was ready.

Portman is just collecting a paycheck and at this point there's nowhere for the Jane/Thor relationship to go but down. Time to kill her off, let Thor mope for awhile than hook up with Sif.

from what i've read a little of Thor's storyline for Age of Ultron will be him and Jane no longer a couple, if true then that will transfer over to Thor 3

This sounds fcked, cause it left off as him returning to earth and giving up the Throme to Loki schemes to be with her. Why would they do this now?

it makes for better storytelling sometimes.. also indeed portman won't be returning then a line or two in age of ultron will suffice , then thety'll tackle it head on in thor 3..
