Not completely depowered. But no Mjolnir and probably no Lightning (or at least very limited) at that point in the film. The scene where he comes in all Lightning Upped seems to be a re-empowerment he gets later in the film.
But who knows for sure, will find me out in 2 months. Of course the Trolls have no patience.
The fever dream Scarlet Witch put him through in Age Of Ultron hinted that Thor has power depths in him he doesn't even know, as Heimdall warned him his power could 'lead them all to hell'. He has lightning erupting out of him in the Asgardian chamber, in his dream. I thought at the time it was an Easter egg, a hint of what's to come. If Thor thinks he needs mjolnir to call down the lightning, he will find he doesn't.
The only worrying thing for me regarding this film was a comment Taika Watiti made about the music score, saying he would have hired Freddie Mercury and Queen in their prime to do a Flash Gordon-esque score for this, if he could have. 🤨
I don't mind the tone I've seen so far, getting a bit closer to Guardians Of The Galaxy. But Flash Gordon in 1980 was campy as hell, and I DON'T WANT Thor to be campy. ❌ Marvel Studios parted ways with Edgar Wright when they sensed he was going to make Ant-Man too much a comedy; I hope they haven't let Watiti do that here. I want real drama with real stakes. Marvel has the perfect balance of tone for their films; don't upset it.

Well Waititi is renowned for his subtle sense of humour.
Marvel would've been well aware of his style.
This film will be the appetizer for the main course, Infinity War. Ten years in the making and no other film will have that build up to Thanos in cinematic history. Paul Bettany described it as the biggest film of all time. That being said I can't wait for Hulk and Thor to go on their adventure. D. Thor I'll rub it in when Hulk is portrayed as the powerhouse of the two. Can't wait to rub your nose in it.

If you doubt me watch this film you moron. It's blatantly obvious Hulk is the powerhouse while Thor is the skilled warrior.
Thor has done more damage in a single strike than Hulk has in his entire career.

How did "the greatest character in all of comics" end up on his hands and knees before KING ODIN, Lord of the Golden realm of Asgard!????🙂
