I agree.

Too much forced humour, lots of those scenes failed big time. Some were genuinely funny, though.

It was great to see

Spoiler:
Dr. Strange
again.

Post-credits scene... another disappointment. They used to be worth waiting for...

I don't think it was lots of them. A lot of it was very funny.

I just really feel like they want everyone to be like Bendis is writing them, all quirky and quippy and shit. Even Hela, who I liked, had her moments that annoyed me.

And they have a serious issue balancing humour with serious moments. Too many times during this (and the last few movies in the MCU) ended up wasting potentially epic moments just to get a punchline.

The felt the movie was good, Improvement on the 2nd Thor movie

as for the humor its a 50/50 for me, Some of it worked and some didn't.

Meh, if even the comicbook nerds here aren't praising it with great enthusiasm I certainly am not going to try to rush out to see it.

The sight of

Spoiler:
Dr. Strange
will make me cringe anyway. That movie sucked.

I like Doctor Strange as a movie, but either way his cameo isn't a large one.

So do I.

And his cameo is the least cringeworthy scene in the film, if anything.

It's good...

Spoiler:
not a total stomp in Hulk's favour as I hoped, but he still smashes that blonde slut a lot. No clear winner, as it gets interrupted by Grandmaster.

Jarnbjorn, you mean?

Spoiler:
No, he doesn't. Skurge does get the Bloodaxe, though... and does the whole nothing with it 😂

Be ready for some really bad retcons, like

Spoiler:
Hela being Odin's daughter...
facepalm

In regards to the fight:

Spoiler:
Thor did better than expected particularly early on but he looked damn close to being punched into unconsciousness. Hulk took 2 massive lightning attacks and looked a little shaky initially but was standing tall as was Thor before Grandmaster interfered. Ending it in that way was horrible but that punch which finished Thor off? Damn.

Thors fighting skills were impressive as were the toughness of both guys.

I did laugh at Scourge getting

Spoiler:
an axe that's a dead ringer for the one from Skyrim. Or is that how it was in the comics too?

One thing I think the movie did really well, was

Spoiler:
that like Civil War, it didn't just go back to the status quo. There were real, tangible changes to the universe, and Thor actually got development as a character. When he wasn't trying to be witty mcwitterson, he was actually good I thought.

Skurge* 🤓

Nah, in comics

Spoiler:
, it looks like a traditional axe; shiny and everything.

You're right that it could've been a nod to Skyrim.

Any chance of

Spoiler:
MCU version of Siege in the future?
What do you think?

I wonder what brothel

Spoiler:
Lady Sif was working at during Ragnarok. Perhaps she was blowing Yondu when the Warriors Three died?

Stilt, is the hulk/thor fight better, worse or on par with bruce and kal?

Depends on what you're into...

See, Bruce v Kal had a clear winner, so you could masturbate to the end.

Hulk v Thor, while more effective visually and fun, is like a dominatrix chick telling you that your rendezvous is over and you're not permitted to cum at all. For some, it's pleasure. For others, agony.

lol sorry. Solo Thor books are not something I've read a lot of.

Spoiler:
If what looks like Thor's plan to establish an Asgard on Earth IS brought to fruition, then I'd say Siege is definitely going to happen. They just need to adapt it properly.

lol, I bet Jamie Alexander is glad she was busy at the time.

What did you think of the Hela fight against the Asgardian forces? I have to admit, I liked the whole TK knives thing.

And yeah, what was the last great MCU fight? Tony v Cap and Bucky? Thor v Hulk was all right, but they could have done so much more with it.

Np.

Yeah, if

Spoiler:
Thanos doesn't stop them... you think it was Thanos' ship, in the mid-credits scene? I'm guessing he wants to take the Tesseract from Loki?

Yup:

Spoiler:
Marvel boss Kevin Feige went a bit further and explained why it was a good thing she wasn't in the movie, since the Warriors Three all get quickly slaughtered by Cate Blanchett's Hela on her arrival in Asgard.

"If she had been on Asgard, she might not be alive, so that's one of the advantages [of not having her in the film]," Feige noted.

Spoiler:
Awesome scene, really had everything... acrobatics, durability showing (when Hela no-sold the gunfire from Asgardian ships, damage soak/healing (ignoring getting stabbed in the back) and it was nice to see that Hogun actually managed to put up a fight. Unlike Volstagg and Fandral, poor losers.

This is what happens when writers are too afraid to piss either fanbase off.

I was gonna ask you the same thing @ mid-credits. It would explain the start of Infinity War better too, going by that comic-con clip.

I actually made an audible "no" sound when

Spoiler:
poor Volstagg got straight up murdered so casually. Though yeah, it really did put her over as a badass when she fought that army. I wish we'd seen more of the Valkyries though.

That, and being more concerned with jokes than being serious for a minute.

I just got back from seeing this. Feel similar to how I felt after GotG volume 2. Enjoyed it as a whole, but the humour was laid on a bit thick in parts. I liked the jokes overall, but a few felt really out of place, and threw off the flow of certain moments.

I liked

Spoiler:
the scene with Dr Strange a lot. He's not only seemingly grown much more capable, but clearly a lot more comfortable in his role.

Also glad the Infinity Stone predictions were wrong, and that it was just Thor finally realising his full potential. Still sucks that he lost Mjolnir though. Even if the hammer didn't actually enhance his power, having a weapon that only you can wield and that obeys your mental commands is still pretty useful.

The saddest part, for me, is that we won't get to see

Spoiler:
Cap actually lift Mjolnir in Infinity War, unless Thor makes a new one, which I doubt will happen.

👆 thanks Stilt...

It was good movie, 8/10 for me. Personally, i did not like the way they jump from scene to scene. Also it looks like the trailer gave away a lot and i did not even realize it. The Surtur scene in the beginning was hilarious but pisses me off, i mean seriously you have a norse god of thunder acting like a complete fool with a a freaking fire realm destroying demon 😛

I must say seeing Matt Damon as Loki and Chris's bother playing Thor was hilarious..

Honestly, imo, Hulk is getting low key shafted. Yea Hulk is treated like an unstoppable rage monster but he always ends up looking the fool every time he appears .

Exhibit A- In Avengers, h gets distracted by a jet and then proceeds to fall from 1000 plus ft in the air. Granted it's implied Hulk did not get knocked unconscious and that's incredible when yo consider how high he fell from

Exhibit B- In Age Of Ultron, Hulk gets suckered KOed by Iron Man. Yeah he looked like he was doing well against Hulkbuster but still....many consider that a lost for Hulk.

Exhibit C- Now we have Thor Ragnorak and honestly, Thor was just punking Hulk the entire time imo and they obviously made it(it's Thor's movie so it may be alright) sure that Thor looks better in the end.

Yeah.....no point for Hulk being portrayed as this strong monster if he can't beat anybody 😬

Edit: Holy sh!t though the warriors 3 got the worse smack in this movie.....also what was Sif doing? They did not even bother explain her absence...

Sucker Ko'd? He got dropped through a building in AOU. That's not bad imo.
