Deadpool (2016)

IM1 was one of those game changers in comic book movies for me too. As was Batman Begins.

I wouldn't put Deadpool on par with them (personally), but it was certainly a fun movie.

I agree with Golgo somewhat. It was a 7.5 to 8 for me.
Very fun movie. Not a game changer for me, but that doesn't mean it wasn't very good in its own right.

So... Deadpool breaking record for highest taking on opening night for an R-rated movie - almost $13 million. That plus international ticket sales means Deadpool has made nearly half its estimated budget on the first night.

Fun film, humor was very sophomoric (obviously) and the revenge plot was very simple, but you could tell Reynolds genuinely loves the character and was having a blast the entire time.

I was a little disappointed that I didn't hear, " I don't have time for your X-men bullshit, Colossus." 😄

Just don't think the others have to be worried about comparisons to this unless of course they're of sub-par quality.

Except that I was saying I thought Deadpool was pretty good, and that other comic movies will have to work hard to be as good if not better.

But yeah. See this. The humour is great. There's a bit where Colossus is dragging Deadpool to see Xavier and Deadpool says "McAvoy or Stewart?"

just got home.... I really like this.. love the humor.. good action.. love the story.... 9.9/10

can't wait to see Cable in the sequel

Decent film 7.5-8/10, mainly bogged when Wade's jokes fell flat. Ajax and Deadpool had a good link/exposition on their past relationship, the jabs at Hugh Jackman, and the self-awareness really were funny when the jokes worked, and seeing Colossus take on a bigger role was good.

I'll be seeing the sequel

I saw it and I loved it. There were a lot people there, which wasn't a surprise.
