Why can Gladiator beat Thanos?
He's far faster (with reflexes) and he is stronger.
There is so much evidence pointing there that it ain't funny.

So clearly, Glads is on another level here.

his speed means nothing, Glads has never beaten anyone on Thanos lvl ever.

He couldn't even beat Black Bolt who Thanos destroyed.

Give me any feats that say he can beat Thanos.

LOL, whatever. You clearly said "different writers."

I was making a general point and wasnt even referring specifically to the Thanos Annual - people were bringing up Hickman's Infinity tie-ins to compare Gladiator with Black Maw to try and prove that in this particular story Thanos wasnt really trying to avoid a fight with Gladiator.

Secondly, you most certainly cared enough to have spoken to the topic up until now.

The topic isnt "Gladiator vs Surfer" and since i didnt make any comment in any way related to that little squabble you dont really have much going for you here.

His goals were accomplished and he referred to Gladiator as annoying. He was a mere annoyance to him. Quit picking and choosing what applies. Thanos showed they as a group were nothing to him.

He said he was disposing of Gladiator's "annoying presence" which is hardly the same thing as saying Gladiator was "a mere annoyance to him" and all his words and actions pointed very much to the contrary.

It's funny the trolls hinge on what Thanos said, yet Thanos mocked the whole of them when they arrived as nothing.

Completely untrue. He toyed with the lot out of them and knew where Gladiator was down to the second.

Bfring your opponent is a win. Thanos used clever tactics and acting as if he needs to let them all attack him at once is completely opposite to anything you'd ever learn in a real time combat situation.

Thanos treated an entire team as if they were nothing. It is par for the course.

😂

First Carver, now you have completely gone over the deep end. Your Kal Underoos must be cutting off your circulation.

He sure did. If I didnt know any better it almost seemed like keeping a shit-ton of distance between the two of them seemed to be kind of a priority for him.

😆 What a butthurt response!!! Your semantics is what's annoying.

Tactics

an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.

He took out the most powerful piece at the time quite easily. His tactics were so pinpoint he knew down to the second he would return. He already achieved his specific end.

Look I get that you champion the Hulk. This character likes to smash things and fight for no apparent reason sometimes other than fighting. Thanos came there for a specific reason and used tactics to easily deal with the team thereby achieving his mission.

Deal with it.

This. And this is exactly what I said a few pages back. Thanos is a tactician. He easily has the means to decimate each member of the annihilators as he did on panel, but if you have the ability to easily avoid an unnecessary variable then why wouldn't you omit it.... Lol shame on Thanos for being smart. Its like the fools in this thread are trying to punish Thanos for using his brain...Which I can't blame them for because they apparently are strongly opposed to using the brain themselves.

So what was Thanos tactic here?

Missed in all of that is Glads supposedly returning to the battlefield in only 3.6 minutes after being bfr'd 200 light years away.

He accomplished his mission and he left. Thanos' objective wasn't to stomp the Annihilators in the first place. When they got in his way he dealt with them tactically and in a very precise manner.

Carver is now Carter till he comes to his senses

What's even more incredible is, he was able to find the planet they were on despite being randomly teleported to some location 200 light years away.

I love how Starlin gave Glads a little love (notice he was spared Thanos' wrath).
