Thanos vs Annihilators

He accomplished his mission and he left. Thanos' objective wasn't to stomp the Annihilators in the first place. When they got in his way he dealt with them tactically and in a very precise manner.

So why did he bring up Gladiator arrival. What purpose did he have for that? Why did he try to leave before Gladiator showed up?

This never happened. Stop making stuff up.

The only thing Thanos said was he thought Gladiator was the strongest of the Annihilators present, and that he would "deal with him personally" before BFRing him.

Somehow that translates to "omg Gladiator is so much more powerful than me, I fear him" 😂

Thanos didn't even go that far, he simply stated Gladiator was the most "dangerous" which may or may not apply to his raw power level. Thanos could have been referencing Gladiator's combat speed or fighting proficiency/tactics for all we know.

Tyrant and his power siphoning machines determined that the Surfer is more powerful than Gladiator and BRB.

Was surfer taken into account with Thanos' statement he seemed to appear later out of the void

no he wasn't, Thanos simply spoke about who was there.

Good thus solving the ambiguity 😉

To make it clear the time before his arrival. As I previously said his objective was met and further conflict pointless.

What did Ikon have to say about the Annihilators? Didn't she not even attempt to take Surfer on?

She did take him on but it wasn't much really, just said they were all "alpha plus" in power.

She said Ronan was Alpha Class like her and he got p'd off but that was about it.

Wow! 14 pages.

My take, I think Carver might be right (The hell am I saying).. I think Gladiator is the most dangerous of the lot, let me reiterate, the most dangerous but not the most powerful. Thanos is a calculating genius in nature, he aimed to tactically defeat the team by using they're weakness, the point of this exercise me thinks. In both BRB and Ronan they're weapons hence removing/destroying it before the beat down. Surfer and Quasar they're pacifist nature however none applies to Gladiator, he'd have to get his hand dirty which I presume not according to this planed exercise. My 2cent.

So why did he say that they need to be gone before Gladiator got there? What was his objective and why didn't he just leave from the get go? Why rush out before Gladiator got there?

There was no point in fighting anymore; their mission was complete. Thanos would have bailed if it'd been Surfer, Quasar, or anyone else rushing back to start fighting again.

Due to his mission not being accomplished. He tactically teleported him far enough away to achieve a mission while Gladiator was out sight seeing. Like I've said for multiple posts despite your inability to get it was pointless conflict.

Again, first, Thanos saw an opportunity to split the group, which he did. Secondly, he had a mission objective. Let's say The Annoyance is having a good day and engages him. The likelihood is that the fight would have at least lasted longer- why would Thanos want that?? Carvers answer to all this is that Thanos, a certified herald buster from day one, is scared of the #1 herald whipping boy on KMC, Gladiator. And he's doing this all so he can say Thanos < Gladiator < Hulk.

Can someone explain something to me. I only saw the scan of Thanos saying they should leave before Gladiator arrives.

According to some of these comments there's another scan with Thanos saying Gladiator is the most dangerous and/or powerful of the group (Annihilators), is this true? Does anyone have the scan?

It's in the ownage thread. Thanos also calls his presence "annoying." Not threatening, annoying . Carver won't tell you that. Also, Surfer was not present when Thanos refers to "this lot."

Thanks, how the phuck did I miss that?

Anyway, that's still impressive for Gladiator. Weren't Quasar, BRB, and Ronan there? And Thanos considered him the most dangerous of them?

How is this an insult to Gladiator?

Where did you get that from and why didn't he just teleport the others away? Why was he so hyped to fight Surfer but when it came to Gladiator he BFRed him and then teleported away when he realized Gladiator was coming back?
