The Old Republic: Revan Returns in Update 3.0 Information

Why wouldn't the Republic just tell them? It's not like you can actually lie to strong Force users. They can sense that kind of thing.

You can't lie to strong force users?

I swear, this forum is sometimes so stupid I sometimes cringe at the thought of being related to some of you (Besides Nalaniel bae).
Both the Jedi and the Sith know at this point about the Emperor's plans to destroy the galaxy (Scourge and Act 3 Story anyone?). Holy shit.
Like, I understand lack of knowledge from those like Fated Xtasy since he never played the game, or Selenial because she's Selenial... but I expected better from the rest of you.

So because Scourge knows the rest of the Empire knows? I never finished the JK story so point me where the Empire learns about his end goal. As, at the end of the SW story, you are still serving the Emperor (or at least his hands).

The Wrath storyline comes before the Hero's. Imperial's learn about the Emperor's death while on Makeb. The Dread Master's on Oricon further confirm this.

Wrath gets an email about Vitiate's death at the end of his story line. So no. In fact, the email says they happen concurrently.

The Entity is still under the Emperor's control at the end until they free her. The email is contradicted and out-ruled by an official holomessage on Makeb where Darth Marr states the Emperor's death is now confirmed.

And? How does that contradict anything? Just shows that the Empire doesn't know about his death until then.

Still waiting for you to show me where the Empire learns about Vitiate wanting to destroy the galaxy BTW.

So a person who sent the email to Wrath knew it months before the Dark Council? Bullshit.

SWTOR Dev's directly said they did in their interview at the NYC Cantina. 😐

They learn in the new expansion, the only people in the Republic who knew were the Jedi Council and the Hero of Tython.

As for the Empire, it was the Emperor's fanatic loyalists like Executor Krannus, and his hand, along with scourge. Those were the only ones who knew.

Not really, kinda.

Wrath get an email from the hand immediately after the events of the Dark Council meeting. It is likely that no one was ready to inform people of the Emperor's death as the hand was spreading the news that he was alive and in waiting. Marr however viewed the emperor's silence as proof he was dead.

This is further solidifed when Marr says "If not dead, dying" and "A silent master"

Why does everyone take what the game-makers say about the game with a grain-of-salt? They specifically said they knew.

The person who sent the email is Servant One one of Vitiate's hands and his most trusted servants. So no, not bull shit.

So it never actually happens int he game itself? So still bullshit storytelling. And can you post the interview?

Dark Council>Servant One.

http://gaddockgaming.com/2014/10/11/episode-57-nyc-cantina-qa-spoilers/ Around 52+ minutes into it.

So um... The Emperor is still sleeping then? Got it

Servant One is the Emperor's personal servant. So, once again no. He initially hides Vitiate's death from even the Wrath it's not surprising he also hid it from the Council.

And thanks for the link.

So just listened to it, and there is no mention of the Empire learning about the Emperor's resurrection which is the problem. Hopefully, the learn about it in this expansion otherwise yeah, it would make absolutely no sense.

Real nice comparison. Because it's not like Sidious and Plagueis designed a ritual to specifically shift the entire Force in favor of the Dark Side to stop the Jedi from sensing things. No, it's not like that at all. Oh wait.

Who said they designed a ritual?

Yawn.

There are many times where powerful force users are lied to, especially among the Sith with them constantly betraying each other. If you want another example, how about Scourge lying and pretending to serve Vitiate for 300 years.
