Has Freddy ever hurt anyone of Superman's caliber in his dream? It seems to me like people retain their "real life" stats in the dream world? Which is why Jason was able to tank/take all the punishment Freddy gave him in the dream fight IMHO.
If that is the case Freddy gets punched out of the dream world. Then he gets his face punched clean out of his shoulders.

Fear is quite important here and it is something we see overtake Superman in his own film.
Due to prep, outside help, and coordinated efforts. Superman doesn't have prep or anyone else helping him.
Superman was hurt by far less than that and in the dream world his actually body can be altered.

Freddy can delve into the characters fears while they are inside the dream. Freddy beat him up and then learned about his fear.
Freddy turned him into a young kid and tortured him like no one ever has to Jason. He then peered into his memories and found the one where Jason drowned. 🙂
Freddy can just recreate Zod's ship and have Superman at his mercy via memory probing.

I am not ignoring how the fight ended.
This is what happened.
Freddy is all cocky and shit and lets himself get sliced up. Then he shows off and grows ithem back. Then he tries to put Jason down and fails. He keeps trying and fails. Jason starts fighting back and Freddy starts shitting his pants. Jason throws Freddy into a pipe and Freddy learns of his water phobia. Only then did Freddy get to do his Freddynanigans.
Unfortunately for Freddy it seems people do keep their "real life" stats in the dream world. Otherwise Jason would have been a goner from the very beginning. This sucks for Freddy because a slow behemoth was pushing his shit in. Superman would anally rape him until he wakes up.
