Darth Bane actually despised the principles of brotherhood and equality among the Sith in his era.
Lord Kaan pioneered the philosophy of Brotherhood of Darkness on the basis of principles of brotherhood and equality among the Sith. Lord Kaan's point of contention was that the Sith were weakened by internal struggles for power and were therefore prone to failure in the matters of galactic dominance.
Darth Bane's point of contention was that the principles of brotherhood and equality contradicted original philosophy of Sith founded on the principles of competition and survival of the fittest. However, Darth Bane also realized the dangers of internal struggles for power among the Sith and therefore promoted the philosophy of Rule of Two.
Darth Bane decided that the Sith should limit themselves to a single Master and a single Apprentice, and rely upon cunning and subtle tactics to achieve supremacy in galactic affairs. In this manner, Sith would not derail from their founding principles and would also be able to address the risks of internal struggles for power. Essentially, the best of both aspects.

And as far as Sidious and Valkorion goes, while I agree that Sheev>Valkorion, and am not convinced Valkorion is not a Sith anymore, it would still be nice to see an argument for Sheev that is more than the most powerful Sith accolades we've all seen hundreds of times. I'm not saying such an argument can't be effectively made, just that a more in depth analysis of Sheev would be more interesting and convincing than something we've all seen too many times to count.
You can't be serious. That has been done as often as those quotes have been tossed out. It just so happened that Sidious's feats always trumped Vitiate's, causing selective memory to most TOR fans.
You've been here long enough. You were even posting and seemingly annoyed about it when it was done at one point, though it was a Yoda vs Vitiate thread, with a Sidious/Vitiate compare/contrast being made in order to prove that Yoda was without a doubt more powerful than Vitiate at the time.

Those feats still remain along with his reality-shattering-all-consuming-world-killing-force storms. Where ROTS Sidious proved capable of killing one of the most powerful force users in galactic history from across the stars with a gesture, DE Sidious proved capable of demolishing cities from across the stars. Then of course we all know what he did to Byss with his own power (among his power to shatter a world); and really just so much more. Just add that to his billions of quotes and you got your analysis.
Not sure what Valkorian is about. Haven't even been keeping track of new stuff from canon (only read two novels and watched most of the rebel series), let alone this random new Vitiate, not Vitiate guy. But I do know how everyone gets carried away when Vitiate gets a new feat, then it's like "guys Palpatine did that without a nexus, and was even better at it." Is this that type of situation? School me?
