Nanatsu no Taizai

Definitely.

Hmm, hard to say just yet. At any rate, the goddess clan would definitely operate in the morally grey area; so far their revealed actions have only been against the demon clan, all of whom were never exactly nice in the first place.

I don't know about that. For one thing, Gowther's power was amped by Merlin during the vampire incident and Escanor hadn't been at his absolute peak at the time either. Plus how he more or less shrugged off Gowther's nightmare ability during the tournament Dolor and Gloxinia threw.

Way things are shaping up, I'd say the 'final boss' of the series will either be the Demon King or perhaps even someone from the goddess clan.

Popular fan theory going around is Meliodas himself becomes the final boss.

I hope not. That would just ruin it for me.

Doubt it. At the very least, if somehow it does end up being Meliodas, it'll likely be someone merely possessing his body. Maybe the Demon King perhaps.

And business has picked up. Here's hoping Merlin has her body and powers back, and isn't running off fumes in spirit form..

Now if only Escanor is waiting on a final power boost as noon, instead of spending so much time resting that he's depowered, they should repel the commandments with relative ease..

Most likely she's not. In addition to being a sorceress, she's clearly something of a scientist/alchemist. She's bound to have plenty of surprises in store for us and the TCs.

If not for the fact that he causes insane destruction simply by being around others. Considering the heat he gives off just by standing around, he's bound to fry his allies as much as he would his enemies by mistake.

I guess there's a reason Meliodas sent him off alone in the special. 🙂

Exactly.

And holy shit, Merlin may now just be the most OP character in the series alongside Escanor.

They make a good power couple. 🙂

With a power like Infinity, her energy power levels were waaaay too low.

They do indeed.

Low? It seems fairly high now if you ask me. With Infinity able to keep spells activated indefinitely until she deactivates them herself, that saves her a huge amount of power and effort.

Talk about your plot twists!

Apparently:

Spoiler:
Elizabeth is a member of the goddess clan. And from the tone of Gloxina and Dolar, her and Meliodas might be the villains in this part of the story.

Hmm, the twist about what she was - or rather her initial incarnation, I guess - honestly was expected given all of the little hints the author kept giving.

As for them being the villains in this flashback, kind of doubt it. It's clear that they all fought against the Demon King together, so something would have had to happen at that particular time.

Meant to put in the surprise training, which is indeed a huge twist.

I guess I missed/forgot a lot of those hints, because I didn't expect 'Liz to actually be a goddess in her former life, as it appears now.

Well, the training in and of itself isn't too much of a surprise since those two were the only ones who could truly help Diane and King achieve their full potential.

What is a genuine surprise though is how this training will apparently play out with this literal 'reliving a flashback' thing going on right now.

Man, the goddesses are even worse then the demons. Full out genocidal racism.

Looking like the humans are caught in between two horrible factions.

I don't know, the more I see Gowther, the more disturbed I am by him.

Secret final boss who's going to burn the world? Or merely untrustworthy Metron (New Gods) like character with his own agenda who plays both sides?

What's more, they're blinded by their own pride, making them worse than even Escanor in that respect.

Gowther strikes me more as a wildcard in general, doing things to satisfy whatever curiosity he has though he can be brought to one side or another depending on circumstances.

Anyone still keeping up with this?

Perfect Cubes are supposed to be unbreakable. What happens if Zeldris and the other commandments get locked up in one?

Or for that matter, would it protect a Elizabeth from the curse?

Yeah, Merlin can dispel cubes, but her dispel ability is unique..

Haven't seen daniscool around lately, nor the others who used to follow it. Looks like I'm the last holdout.

In case anyone drops by: If you name your ultimate attack after yourself, you just "might" have an ego problem. 🙂

Especially if that attack is just swiping your hand.

So Escanor got his power from the missing fourth archangel. Who Estarossa killed.. Who fought Escanor. Who didn't give a hint of recognizing his power.

Mangaka didn't exactly think this all the way through, did he?

I still am. The manga has been looking like Bastard!! lately, just without the extreme ecchiness that borders on hentai.

You forgot that Chandler popped Perfect Cube casually with his staff.

I personally don't mind, though.
