Ever heard artistic license? These feats are of a grand scale. You have to use some common sense when viewing them on a comic book page. The artists almost always have leeway when portraying such grandiose feats. Of course you completely throw that out in your effort to lowball. I swear if I had a nickel for every time you put your foot in your mouth I'd be a rich man. With your ridiculous logic all of these other panels would be scrapped.
Thor's chariot and the portal appeared to be of similar size. So either both are big as stars or both are much smaller than stars.
Also, it's the magic in the hammers that cause the feat, not the strength of the throw. Finally, you do know that Mjolnir and Stormbreaker can be remote controlled right?

Yeah, no. Nice try though. When they jump over and reach one side from another, call me.And if that's not enough, here is Thor saying Bill to stay at one corner of the portal and he would go to other corner of the portal.

Now either Thor's chariot is bigger than stars and thor can call BRB from across stars distance or you've been leaving a lot of context behind as usual.
Fine I'll humor you just to answer your impossible question in regards to how he can communicate with Bill. 🙂
See, you should be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Just remember one thing, don't ever doubt the Thunder God. He is prone to performing the impossible!
Can hear from worlds away.
If he wants to be heard you will hear him!
Why can he perform these impossibilities? "My nature is not bound by the merely perceptible". His divinity transcends dimensions!

Re-posted for you to read. When these guys jump over and reach the other side of the planet, call me. As it is, the size comparison is perfectly comparable to what the distance Thor and BRB were at.

Abhi.. Not everything is drawn to scale. I've already showed you perfect examples of that. It's not the easiest thing to portray grandiose settings on a page of a comic book. Answer??? Artistic license...Again Abhi.. This is a comic book. Take a couple of my scans for example... How are these guys talking in space? That is one of the most overlooked details in comics.
Lets go further.
How do speedsters like Flash converse with Superman in the space of a second. How does Makkari talk to the Runner while everything around them is frozen. Answer? Artistic license.

You are saying it was big as stars because of its drawn size compared to the drawn stars. But Thor's chariot was of similar size too. So either both are as big as stars or both are much smaller.
Finally, you are using faulty logic. The writer of the portal issue is not the same writer as the Gorr and Iron Man issue. That means it wasn't his intention that Thor possess the ability to communicate across planetary distances because of a super power. Thus showing Thor able to hear from afar (which doesn't prove he can communicate from afar) and speaking in space in a later comic fails to reach that conclusion.

First let's examine where all this takes place.
If you actually read the arc, you would have gotten a sense of grandiose for the setting Simonson put forth.
The core of Bill's galaxy explodes and from the explosion, an ingot of star stuff is left behind.
Surtur's size is immense.
"Sound of thunder reverberates throughout a billion billion worlds!"
"The smith is a star breaker."
"A figure who dwarfs the stars.."
"The echoes of his blow ring across the cosmos..."
Now let's revisit where the Korbinites hail from.
Bill and his people the lived in the heart of a galaxy. Their galactic core was comprised of many stars. Like in a real galaxy, the largest concentration of stars are found in the galactic center(other than a super massive black hole). The same galactic core which Surtur destroyed then collected star matter from.
Finally lets get to the source of the butthurt.
So in your view the portal could not have been big because it's the size of the chariot? 😬
Did you not learn from my examples of scale?
Even though it now replaced the stars that once comprised the center of Bill's former home?
Even though we see it's enormity in comparison to surrounding stars and celestial bodies as Thor and Bill approached the galactic core?
"Woe that the very stars that gave me life should be harnessed now to create such evil."
In this scan we see the chariot is nothing compared to the portal. The art even depicts the hordes of demons as mere specs.
And nowhere in the final act are the hammers narrated or explained to use "magical energy" to perform this feat. They weren't even amped. The only thing we see is the heat trail caused by the portal's extreme heat as narrated previously.
I can provide you with plenty examples of Mjolnir not giving off "magical energy" when colliding with other enchanted weapons or even hammers. There would be no point because all you would do is come up with more cockamamie reasons to not accept them. What you and Abhi are doing is digging deep for answers solely because you can't accept this massive feat. I mean I know the butthurt is painful, but you have to draw the line somewhere. The only power provided here is the strength of Asgardian muscle and Asgardin empowered muscle.

That statement doesn't prove size. We also see Thor and Bills enormity in comparison to the surrounding stars. I believe the portal was very large, much larger than both Thor and Bill. As big as stars or bigger? I don't think that's what the writer was trying to show.
I don't see the demons as specs to the portal. If you are talking about those little black spots, then they are smaller than the chariot too. I really don't see what you are talking about here. Please help me see it.In this scan we see the chariot is nothing compared to the portal. The art even depicts the hordes of demons as mere specs.

Now your logic reverses on you when it suits you. You used other comics to explain other comics, knowing that the writer didn't intend on what you were suggesting in one of the comics.
With that said, energy is shown from both hammers before they collide. They are glowing.
If you want to use comics to explain other comics, ignoring writers intent, then you must except the fact that the hammers can be amped and also mentally controlled. You can't have it both ways.

I have no problem with the feat, I can actually argue that the portal is indeed as big or bigger than the stars and be more logically convincing than you. Beg me and say please and I will oblige you 😄The problem I have is that this feat is used as a strength feat. Reading the comic gives absolutely no sense that this feat takes great strength. If it did then I would accept it. It seemed that the writer used the hammers as a plot device and they simply threw the hammers and they did what they did. In other words, any character who is able to lift and throw Mjolnir or Stormbreaker seems to should have been to do the same thing under the same suspension of disbelief.
it doesn't say A figure who dwarfs the stars."A figure who dwarfs the stars.."
Surtur can alter his size, just like Odin can. He has fought Thor and Odin at small sizes.
Showing his size as astronomical in one instance doesn't prove the size of the portal.

And regards to the demons, refer to the bottom panel where Thor jumps off of the chariot. Below him are countless demons depicted as specs in comparison to just probably a fraction of the portal.
My god the lowballing here is just out of control.

The point of my Surtur scans was to show that it is not out of the realm of possibility that a portal that harnesses the power of stars and was built by Surtur who dwarfed stars, could be the size of stars or larger. I'm trying to reiterate the scale at which Simonson was operating.
Originally posted by celeyhyga17I understand artistic license and that would hold if there was strong supporting outside evidence. But your argument is still circular since your evidence isn't strong enough and doesn't prove the size of the portal actually being stellar size.
What the heck is not clear? The galactic core from which Bill's people comes from was transformed into a gigantic portal. In fact the scan states that the stars that comprised the galactic core is no longer there, but instead this crazy portal is in it's place. I'm sure you have an idea of how immense the core off a galaxy could be?And regards to the demons, refer to the bottom panel where Thor jumps off of the chariot. Below him are countless demons depicted as specs in comparison to just probably a fraction of the portal.

Still stuck on that? I already told you my main point regarding artistic license.
Look again. I've already explained that earlier. Anything that travels towards the portal has fight off the immense heat and energy emanating from it. Look at the chariot as it tries to enter the portal for example...
Again don't get stuck on that. That was more a plug on his capabilities. Artistic license. There goes that phrase again...
Correct scan.
Yes. He can easily alter his size.
The point of my Surtur scans was to show that it is not out of the realm of possibility that a portal that harnesses the power of stars and was built by Surtur who dwarfed stars, could be the size of stars or larger. I'm trying to reiterate the scale at which Simonson was operating.
Showing Surtur at huge sizes doesn't prove it since he can alter his size. Showing Surtur busting stars to build something (wasn't he building the twilight sword?) doesn't prove it either since he did the same thing to build the twilight sword, which varies in size too. Ever think about concentrating something into a smaller size? Plus Surtur used the molten ingot star residual stuff left over. It was much smaller than a star itself.
The thing that kinda refutes your claim greatly is the scan of those demons you said were small in comparison to the portal. If you look carefully you could see the wall corners of the portal. Look at the size of the corner in comparison to Thor and those demons. Then look at the portal from the first scene where it shows the stars along with Thor's chariot. You see those same corners in comparison to the size of the portal.
At best we don't know what the writer wanted us to think about the size. In other words, at best it's inconclusive.
The butt hurt of h1a8 and abhi is... just... Wow..
It couldn't be more clear those "glowing balls" were stars and that the portal was tremendously larger than any Star.
But by all means keep up the lowballing if it helps satisfy your need to believe Thor can't in any way shape or form be compared to Superman, let alone actually possibly be more powerful than him.👆

Look Thor is so weak that he would die in lava!!!!!

I don't know whether it's butthurt or what, but it's comments like this that tell me you are ignorant of the story all together. This goes the same for Abhi because he himself believes the glowing sphere's are not even stars. 🙁
