Ended up seeing it for a third time, my daughter who initially wasn't interested heard the hype at her school and changed her mind; she really enjoyed it.
One thing that really stands out in this film is Thor as a character. Helmsworth does a fantastic job capturing him, the scene where he and Rocket are talking and Thor's essentially laying out his soul is pretty decent acting for an action film like this, he's up there now with Downey's Tony and Evan's Steve, imo.

I think Thor has been one of the MCU's biggest accomplishments of late. He went from a boring uninteresting character in the early stages of the MCU to imo the most interesting original Avenger of the entire roster. Did a complete 180.
It's because Marvel wasn't sure people would accept a magical character in this type of setting. hence them having Thor make his comment about Asgardians considering magic and science the same thing.
Once they realised audiences had no trouble accepting it, they started leaning more towards Asgardians being actual gods and bringing in other magic based characters like Dr Strange.

Have to agree overall, from an improvement scaling viewpoint, he's really gone up the highest.
Wouldn't mind another Thor film after IW2, if plot allows.

I wouldn't be surprise if Chris Evans continues too.

I'd give credit to Waititi too and the writers.I still enjoyed the character in Thor 1-2 and Avengers 1-2, but he's been vastly improved all around.
There's also talks of Jane Foster coming back for IW2 in some manner, where she survived Thanos' death-lottery
Thor1 was great Imo. I think TDW and AOU let the character and his franchise down though. So yeah great job Waititi and Russos for turning that around.
Thats good about Jane, because she was such a big part of the first 2, it was kind of strange for them to just say She Dumped Him. They should finish that story properly.

With the money they're bringing in, I can see the studio continuing.
Infinity War will likely pass Jurassic World today as the 4th highest grossing movie ever. Only The Force Awakens, Titanic and Avatar remain higher. I don't think it will catch Titanic but it could possibly catch Star Wars (I hope it does). It still has a ways to go though....this weekend's China earnings will be rather telling.

Will be up to China really, going to be tough to catch Star Wars.Definitely will not pass Star Wars Domestically.
It's almost 1.7B
China had it's release 1 week ago. So basically IW will be having it's second week in the Asian country. I believe it will surely reach 2B.
