Dceu has been throughly crushed and now they have to focus on standalone films while marvel has established a strong foundation with characters general audiences really care about.

His chin still looks like a ballzack.

Just watched the trailer again, this time on my actual computer and not a phone, and yeah this looks badass.

I'm shocked to say it, but I'm looking forward to this far more than The Last Jedi. It's certainly a way better trailer than any of TLJ's.

As for Thanos, I think this is his best best cinematic design yet. His face looks more intimidating and his armor was an over-designed mess in the other films.

And there's the reason Thanos isn't in armor.

"Thanos has a more casual approach in this film, and it’s very philosophical for him. It’s part of his character definition. It’s a spiritual journey for him to collect the Stones, and one with which he doesn’t need armor. Once he starts acquiring the Stones, he doesn’t need armor in the same way he did when he was a war lord. It’s a very symbolic costume."

I don't know whether to make a big deal about the hue of Thanos' skin being inconsistent. Maybe the light in different scenes makes it appear different, or some other explanation.

I can notice that too, hoping it is the lighting.

Yah, I think if and when he does don the armor again it will look better. Like I said the actual CGI of Thanos looks GREAT. And they still have 6 months to tidy it up even more. I can't wait for this movie.

Though it is still early days, that trailer might have confirmed my "Loki is still a traitor" theory. After Thor: Ragnarok, I mentioned about how it would be interesting if Loki had still been allied to Thanos this entire time, nudging things along here and there to make sure everything ends up how Thanos wants it to. And in this trailer, it looks like Loki is presenting the Space Stone to someone, and we see that the Power and Space stones are the first two in the IG.

Broken record but honestly the best part of the trailer for me (alright, maybe with the exception of any other Spidey shot):

Nah, best part is when Thanos socks Iron Man in the face. 😛

Thanos punching Iron man will never get old.

Well. Thanos is very purple. I will give it that.

He's was the smurf that went wrong

He def needs his Helmet. Make his head look less like a Prune.

Same. And, yeah, the CGI does look great. It picture must have been distorted some when I watched it on my phone earlier.

Thanos looks a bit like Sigourney Weaver

That was great, but I'm a Cap fanboy through and through. Chris Evans took a guy who was mostly fairly boring (for me) in the comic books (with a few exceptions, of course) and made him one of my all-time favourite characters.

Everyone will die at the end of infinity war, that's the only way it can end IMO

Thanos looks so bad ass, far better than BvS doomsday!

Yeah, Chris Evans' portrayal of Cap has definitely had a huge impact on the character's popularity, in terms of the broader public. It's one of those instances where Marvel hit the jackpot when they cast him.

Though a big part of it is down to the Russos as well. Because even before TWS, he didn't seem that popular. But the 2nd Cap film really made people pay attention to the character.

Also CGI is not finished yet.

👆

All hail the mighty Russos - as Kevin Smith might say, "They can take ALL my money!"
