-Thor activating/deactuvating some sort of gate/machine/engine.

Ultimate Nullifier? Didn’t Quasar tried to use that vs Thanos (and died?). Might be Thor dying here too.

Could be the big “hope it works” hero plan vs Thanos. Plan would be for everyone on Earth to keep Thanos distracted while Thor and the Guardians sneak off to trigger an ancient superweapon. Only to end up failing, Thor dying and Thanos snapping his finger to kill half the universe.

Then sequel.

Only Frank Castle lives.

Tony Stark probably

In my opinion Rogers or Stark have to die in order to be something fans will really feel.

I love Thor, Hulk, and the others but Stark and Rogers are the heart and soul of these movies.

It's going to be one of those two. I'm guessing Tony over Steve in a scenario like that, as Evans is likely the better choice in continuing his character in future films.

Though I wouldn't be surprised is several members die by the end of IW part 2. Just don't think they would kill both Steve and Tony. I'm tearing up thinking about it 🙁

After the ending of Ragnarok, it makes sense that Loki will die. Loki will die sacrificing himself or something to protect earth, a planet he had just recently tried to conquer.

Captain America is my number one pick of who will probably die in the upcoming Infinity War films. Even Chris Evans has said that he's ready to retire the role. Maybe Falcon will become the new Cap?

Actually, you're probably right with the trailer showing Tony being put down, likely misdirection. Shame, as I'm starting to think Evans plays a better Rogers than Tony plays Stark. My top two favorite Avengers.

Cap dying would also pull the hardest emotions, as he's the team's conscious, while Tony is lovable, but a still a total dick.
