Black Panther is outselling previous marvel films in advance imax ticket sales.
Bleahh don't jinx it, special showings are only a representation of hype, its all about the first weekend. Then the real reviews come out. remember JUSTICE LEAUGE, Bleah you made me say the JL word. Started out great then tanked after people saw it.

Black Panther was... Fine. It had a couple of nice sequences but meandered a lot. It had a nice, vibrant colour palette, which a lot of Marvel movies have been lacking of late imo, but that alone can only do so much. Not great, not shit. Kind of middle of the table in terms of where it is in the Marvel movie hierarchy.
Just got back. I thought it was really good. Enjoyed it a lot.
Spoiler:
Didnt like that both Klaw and Killmonger died though. Maybe if one of them died but both?
Edit:
Spoiler:
But i guess it makes sense that it would take something like Killmonger's death and journey to change T'Challas thinking and Morals about Wakanda's involvement in the world.
Coogler's ability to make characters relatable shines in this as much as it did in Creed. Killmonger's
Spoiler:and his backstory on why he wanted to
dialog with his father
Spoiler:makes for a compelling villain. I also can understand why he as militant as he was, especially growing up and seeing what he did. He definitely ranks among the best performances and Michael B Jordan shows why he deserves to be in A list talents for this and Creed
reclaim the throne
Boseman's journey to become king likewise was interesting. I loved the scenes where he went to the ancestral plane, it looked like it was straight out of the comics. And his conclusion to go into the world after seeing what Erik went through was a believable motivation, and Coogler emphasizing Tchalla's mercy
Spoiler:spoke volumes about his character. He genuinely goes from being reluctant to take the post, to fully realizing his role at the end. Shuri, Okoye, Klaw (I laughed my ass off when he sang
in offering to heal Erik after their fight
Spoiler:were all acted well. Even M'baku had what seemed like a ton of good scenes, and Coogler did his best to assure all if not most of the characters shined.

I've been reading its really good, but not as good as its hyped to be. Most have said the combat scenes could be better and the CGI was rough. Falls below the top tier Marvel flicks like Avengers, Civil War, Iron Man, but still rocks. I'll have to wait and see.
Holy shit, racists out in full force to destroy this movie. People pretending they got assaulted by black teenagers...
I went to watch this earlier today. It's good, but it is getting overhyped IMO. The film did have some interesting bits of into, such as expanding on the uses of vibranium, as well as revealing that
Spoiler:
Wakanda actually has a global spy network that they use to keep tabs on the rest of the world, as well as run secret operations.

My favourite part of the film was
Spoiler:
the whole going undercover James Bond style. My only complaint is as soon as Killmonger challenged T’Challa, the rest of the film was really predictable
