naah, it's more fiction movies being popular than anything else. Isn't like people aren't interested in other types of movies.
You didn't actually say something the other person didn't. People are interested in non-fiction movies true. They are also way more interested in fiction.
Speaking of fiction, remember: anyone who says "truth is stranger than fiction" just hasn't read the right fiction.
Saw this last night.
Enjoyed it a good amount. Not the best MCU movie, but I'd say probably in the upper tier. Thought it was unique among the MCU films in regards to tone, I liked the combination of political intrigue and an almost high fantasy mood. Good characters that I cared about for the most part. Wasn't so keen on Killmonger as a villain, but he served his purpose I guess.
Wakanda was a very cool and unique setting as well, hope we see a lot more of it in future Marvel movies.
Messages were a little hamfisted, which is par the course for a big budget action movie that was trying to make some kind of point, and I actually think Black Panther as a character was outshined by most of the supporting characters, didn't think he was all that interesting. But it was good, and it's nice to see the movie doing so well.
Anyone thinking Black Panther is going to do better domestically than Infinity War? Worldwide should for sure be a win by Infinity War over BP, but domestically Black Panther is blowing Age of Ultron's doors off and is getting closer and closer to The Last Jedi and The Avengers by the day.
Would be interesting if Black Panther is this year's Wonder Woman in terms of a solo origin superhero movie (WW in 2017; BP in 2018) outdoing the big cinematic universe's team-up (Justice League in 2017; Infinity War in 2018). Of course, JL was sub-par, and Infinity War is most likely going to be the best thing Marvel's ever released, but just a comparison to think over.

well nobody even knows what Infinity War will even open up too let alone what it will do domestically once it finishes its run

Ill say this much. If IW makes less than BP domestically, I doubt Disney will shed a tear over that.

Yeah sure.
Infinity War has much much much much much to offer than Black Panther did.
I wouldn't surprise me if Infinity War breaks records.
