Meant at present. And specifically comparing to Disney Star Wars.
Historically Star Wars is still obviously the biggest and most Iconic franchise.
MCU has yet to pass the test of time to compete on that level.

BP is about to hit $694 million and is closing on $700 million. I don't think Infinity War can dethrone BP to become the third highest-grossing domestic film ever after BP did it just a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, the film is still full of a bunch of boring superhero fights, but the little one on one "challenge" fights were cool and actually showed some real peril. And the core story of the film is good, better than I expected.
