Superior to Kenneth Branagh? Don't think so.

Y'know...you can recognise a Michael Bay, Tarantino, Oliver Stone, Spielberg film any day.

But there's nothing outstanding or unique whatsoever about the 1st Thor movie that screams the Branagh touch.

Seriously pick one scene or dialogue that emulates Branagh's "superior" directional skills.

Wonder if Loki is fighting against Hela during the battle scene where he has the two knives?

Yeah you could easily make the argument that Branagh is the superior performer, but not the superior director. Waititi has the shorter filmography but is more impressive and auteur than Branagh imo

Looks good so far

**** all the whingers complaining about all the little things.

Really didn't like the trailer. Grumble grumble, grumble grumble. Far too much influence of GOTG imo.
I'm about to swing on you.

Yeah, because the tone of the trailer, the music and the witty banter don't seem at all like GOTG.

So you're gonna immediately say anything that has those elements is ripping off GoTG? Because if that's the case, GoTG ripped off this:

YouTube video

The only thing GOTG shares with Thor is that it's set in space, this Thor movie just has a lighter tone to it

It's like people have completely forgotten the tone of the first Thor film.

The beginning being set up like a LOTR epic. The imagination behind depicting his version of Asgard, and the way he connected that to Earth. The character development of both Thor and Loki. And he certainly had a big hand in making Loki the best Marvel villain (and one of the best comic book villains) to date.

It was actually quite an accomplishment which other directors could have easily messed up, but now we take it for granted.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we have someone new and talented for the 3rd film, but I really wish Brannagh stuck around for the second.

Never has PR being so wrong as in this thread.

I mean, when on topic, if we include his opinion and advice on women we can find contenders biscuits

He's Irish, I'm willing to put it down to him being drunk or hit over the head with a bar stall too hard during a drunken brawl either way drink is involved
