Okay, THIS time its father's day...😂

A day to honor Dad. NO. Rather, it is a day to enjoy time with Dad and appreciate all he does for you. What Dad really wants is healthy, happy and successful kids. And, he wants you to spend a few moments with him on Father's Day. Today's life style is busy for both dads and kids. So, a little time with dad on Father's DAy is just what he wants.

A Father is more than the biological paternal source of our being. It is the person who cares and provides for us. It is the man who helps to set the standards, the family values and the example. So, add to this group, step fathers and other men who willingly and eagerly accept and cherish the role. Whether biological, adopted or informally, if they are the father figure to you, give him some recognition today and don't hesitate to call him "Dad".

Did you know? The first Father's Day celebration was in Spokane, Wa. on May 18, 1910.

Greeting card commercialized fake made up bullsh-t holiday, don't buy into this because if you have a dad that is a real dad you can respect you can honor him everyday of your life by being the best you can be. Same with mothers day. You know what fathers day is, my dads birthday. Otherwise GTFO.

SCREW that, i want some presents!!! 😛

How much aftershave and $19.95 tool sets does a guy need?

I usually score some Thor related merch.

Not quite the same design but a couple years ago i got something similar to...

A Thor lighter would be good for holding up to fire sprinklers and yelling "LET THE STORM CLOUDS OPEN!"

Good for a larf.

Haha!
My kids got me a hammer back when the first movie came out. It made lightning/thunder sounds and shot nerf style darts. I had those things zipping all over the office!

Canada (Dominion) Day

When: July 1st(except when it fall on a Sunday it is then celebrated the next day)

Canada Day is a celebration of Canadian nationalism, heritage and pride. Canada became self-governing on July 1st, 1867, with the passage of the British North America Act (BNA Act) in the British Parliament. The holiday was originally known as "Dominion Day". It was changed to Canada Day by the Canadian Parliament on October 27, 1982.

Did you know? The U.S. and Canada share the largest un-defended border in the world.

Not a holiday but it should be, Tom Cruise turns 53 today. Sexy beast...,!

Not a holiday i ever needed to celebrate...😛

Date When Celebrated : July 5th

Today is Work-a-Holic Day. It recognizes the guy, or gal, who works all of the time....... even during holidays. While just about everyone is enjoying the Fourth of July holiday, the Work-a-holic is off working on some project. He can't relax. It's not in his nature. He's addicted to work. It's not necessarily work out of need. It's work because there either is work to be done, or there's a perceived work project to do.

Today's Saying: "All Work and no play, makes John a dull boy." ... Author unknown.

How do you know if your a work-a-holic:

It's the Fourth of July weekend, and you are at work or brought home work.
You are working because "It's fun!" Yes, we've heard that one before.
You work because you want to, not because you need to. (yeah, right)
You are always the first one to work and/or the last one to leave.
It's Saturday, and you're working.
It's Sunday, and you're working.
You're last thoughts as you fall asleep are related to work.
If you are a work-a-holic, we encourage you to use Work-a-Holic Day to break the habit. Simply take today off.

What in the - 😆

Date When Celebrated : July 10th

It's Teddy Bear Picnic Day. Spend the lunch hour on a blanket under a shade tree with your Teddy Bear.

Stuffed Teddy Bears are a kids favorite. Children receive Teddy Bears early in their childhood. Children cling to them throughout their teenage years. Many bears are kept, even as you become an adult. As you read this article, many of you adults know exactly where your Teddy Bear is.

On this gorgeous summer day, take your teddy bear (or teddy bears) out for a day in the sun. It's time for a Teddy Bear Picnic! Have mom make a few PB& J sandwiches, some cookies, and a jug of Koolaid. Take a blanket out under a shade tree, and enjoy lunch with your Teddy.

Have a Party with Your Bear Day

The Origin of the Teddy Bear:
During the early 1900s, President Theodore Roosevelt was in office as President of the United States. He was a hunter. While hunting in Mississippi in 1902, he refused to shoot a small bear. The Washington Post picked up on this story, and made a cartoon of the event. Toy store owners, Morris and Rose Michtom, wrote to President Roosevelt for permission to call their stuffed animals "Teddy Bears". Teddy bears became wildly popular. Their company went on to become the Ideal Toy Company, one of the largest toy companies in the world.

The Origin of Teddy Bear Picnic Day:

This day may have had something to do with a 1950's television show called Teddy Bears' Picnic. It was sponsored my Pet ice Cream - Brown Bear and Brown Mule - chocolate pop-icicles.

Mmmmmm....!

Date When Celebrated : July 16th

Fresh Spinach Day is our opportunity to put healthier food into our diets.

Popeye the Sailor is right. Spinach is one of the healthiest foods you can eat. It tastes good, and there are many recipes. Many people turn up their nose to it, without even trying it.

The reason for eating fresh spinach, is the nutritional value is highest, when it is fresh and uncooked.

Celebrate this day by introducing some fresh spinach to your meals today. You could start by mixing in some spinach into your garden salad. Your family may not even notice, but by doing so, you are making them healthier!

Gardeners know that spinach is easy to grow. And, it's hardy. You can plant it as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring. Why, that's today in many parts of the country! More on Growing Spinach.

There is another day that we celebrate this healthy vegetable. It's National Spinach Day, celebrated on March 26th. We think it is great that there are two days to celebrate this wonderful vegetable, and to encourage people to eat healthier.

Did You Know? V-8 Vegetable Juice is not just tomato juice. It includes 8 vegetables. One of them is Spinach.

Also Mmmmmmm...!

National Junk Food Day

Date When Celebrated : Always July 21st

For some of us, every day is Junk Food Day. For the rest of us, National Junk Food Day is an opportunity to guiltlessly eat your favorite junk food.

Dietitians will tell you that junk food is any food that contains little nutritional value. We also include foods that are high in salts, fats, and sugars. In other words, junk food is all that tasty stuff that the dietitians, and Mom, say is bad for us.

On Junk Food Day, you get to eat anything you want. Eat any amounts that you want, too. Tomorrow, however, it's back to a healthy diet.

Please Note: Junk food may be hazardous to your health. After all, mom knows what's best for you. Do so at your own risk. That risk includes Mom saying: "I told you so!"

Origin of National Junk Food Day:
Our research found lots of information on what is and what isn't junk food. We found no information on the origin of this day. It was most likely created by a diet conscious individual or group who desired to eat junk food, without guilt, at least one day a year.

Creating an official "National" day requires an Act of Congress. We found no record of this. While Congress may be accused of going on occasional junkets, we don't believe they would support junk food.

On Junk Food Day, you get to eat anything you want?

Well heck sign me up. 😄

Line starts here!

I am putting in to create "Kick Your Boss in the Ass and get away with it" Day.

If you're self-employed you're going to have a bad day.

Then I would call for "Give the Boss a Raise Day" But I aint so I aint. AINT AINT AINT!!!!

Bummer. I thought this was a day about trying to engage in a quite awesome sexual encounter...🙁

Sisters Day

Date When celebrated : First Sunday in August

Sister's Day celebrates being or having a sister. That means a lot of us will celebrate this special day.

Sisters are truly special and unique. Sure, we may argue and fight. But, when it comes right down to it, sisters are the best, the very best.

Celebrate Sister's Day by spending time with your sister. Make it a special day in some way for you, and for her.
