I do want this to be good. I really do. So I am remaining optimistic, but am ready to take a flamethrower to my optimism at the first sign of trouble, after the last 2 films. Better than being disappointed again.

That's why I am also remaining optimistic. Without Snyder's asshattery ruining things, this could actually end up being a pleasant surprise.

Yeah. The issue with Snyder is that he tends to include things he thinks would be cool in the movie, instead of rather including things that would necessarily make more sense. I have more faith in David.

I liked Watchmen, but that movie was almost impossible to totally f*** up, as long as you remained fairly close to the source material.

Watchmen still remains the best film Snyder has done. MOS is up there as well. Can't wait for the next trailer. Supposedly Joker will be at the forefront.
