It would depend on his intelligence.

So, likely not.

Yes and a damned good moral teacher when you reverse the moral that Christians give to the stories.

If you do not then you, like Christians, would end in adoring a vile and immoral God.

That's because 80% of the teachings in the NT are not the teachings of Jesus, but those of Paul.

IOW. The teachings that Rome wanted us to favor as then those beliefs favored Rome.

Christianity is a political force more than a religious one. All religions are just tribal institutions and not much else.

I think this statement is too general to be true.

It is when you use the ALL that I begin to not believe you.

Sure but you believe believers who say they believe.

I do not and gave my evidence.

I'm not doubting everything you say, but we do have differences in our beliefs.

Absolutely.

Likely because you are a kinder man than I.

And so, a new friendship was forged.

🙄 Satan is a mythological being. But more importantly, Satan is a scapegoat. Humans don't like to take blame for things that are rightfully their fault. So, we blame it on Satan. The truth is we are to blame for all of the evil in the world, and we don't need anyone to tempt us. We really can't fix our own problems until we stop believing in Satan, and own up.

agreed.

although if someone doesn't believe in my opinions or beliefs thats fine, you can acknowldge it but you don't have to believe it/ just don't be a dick about it or try to forcefully convert me into your beliefs \

^ this para is in response to Riv's opening question at the start of the thread

Wait, there was a [i]question]/i]?

Does it matter to you?

One thing i've always distrusted are religions that actively go around trying to convert/recruit people.
The nock on doors wont just go away types that want to give you pamphlets.

Are you in any way associated with this type of activity? Is it something your religion does?

And again, do YOU personally care what others choose to believe, and seek to turn people onto your way of thinking?

this

That?

If we created Satan to blame someone for all the evil in the world, did we create God to blame someone for all the good in it?

Or what does it say about us as a people? Lets assume all religion is bunk and purely the creation of men. We created Satan, but why did we make his "opposite" nearly just as evil as Satan himself? Or rather, why did we create a being we perceive as so utterly "good" that we ignore or excuse his most heinous crimes? Yet nobody is out making excuses for Satan.

Yes, but I think the problem is not all religious people evolved with him.
