Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Maul

Luke as of Return of the Jedi.
Maul as of Son of Dathomir.

Setting: Jedi Temple

*Maul is only equipped with his darksaber*

Maul. They're roughly equal as duelists but Maul is much more powerful.

Maul without the inconsistency that Luke or Vader were equals in spite of conflicting points. Good fight though

I wouldn't even put ROTJ Luke on TPM Maul's level personally, let alone SOD Maul's level.

If he's Rage Enhanced Luke might give him a run for his money in Pure Sabers. But he stands no chance in an All-Out against SOD Maul.

Maul. Luke isn't awesome...yet. Give him time, though. Give him time.

Yeah, Maul. Even TPM Maul should be able to win IMO.

Any Skywalker supporters?

If it's any consolation I would back RotJ Luke against TPM Maul for a stalemate.

I'm not sure where I have ROTJ Luke, but I know I'd back him against Ventress, and the majority of the PT Council.

His physical feats and lightsaber skill is at least on par with Maul, if not slightly higher.

I don't really know where to place him, either. Maybe the new comics/book(s) will sort of flesh out his power level in that era with more consistency.

This is fair Imo.

But anyone suggesting ROTJ Luke is going to match or actually even beat SOD Maul in any kind of direct combat, is just plain out crazy.

PT > OT, TPM Maul faster and equally skilled and strong as RotJ Vader.

He beat his Dad who was trying to sway him to his side. Vader never once used any kind of TK on Luke. Maul won't be so nice.

And SOD Maul is probably > Vader in Sabers.
