Vader vs. Exar Kun

Both at the height of their power

Setting: Kamino, where Vader fought Starkiller

Who wins?

Kun has some good accolades but so does Vader and has better feats as well. I say Vader wins.

Yeah, Vader in a close ass fight.

Kun. Vader's not winning a duel or a Force contest with him. Nor any combination of those things.

Nah, Vader's TK feats are better than Kun's force blasts and he's shown to be faster than Kun as well.

Vader's TK may start out as better than Kun's blasts, but his blasts double in power with each attack. And Kun has really impressive defenses iirc. And nah, I'd say Kun is faster than Vader, based on his Ulic fight.

Wha? Why his Ulic fight?

Vader has been stated to move faster than thought and was so fast that only beings like Yoda could percieve him IIRC. His TK allowed him to crush huge droids and casually send giant monsters flying side-ways just by casually swinging his arm. He also broke Phrik, and unbreakable metal that was so tough that when Aldeeran was destroyed that stuff remained intact.

Vader in a good fight also

Isn't the Yoda comparison thing just Ferus Olin saying that Vader is the fastest Force User he's ever seen in combat, except from Yoda?

Maybe, don't remember the quote all that well. Still pretty impressive since Ferus has seen many duelists, including Anakin before he became Vader, fight.

Ulic is fast.

Faster than thought is obviously hyperbolic. Ulic's moved fast enough to appear in multiple places at once and that was far before his prime where Kun stalemated him. Vader's speed is also really inconsistent.

Kun has created force barriers capable of repelling bombing runs. That's some impressive defense in my opinion. Vader won't be getting through his barriers before Kun amulet-owns him.

Source for Vader breaking Phrik? Kun has also broken through a wall of Mandalorian Iron.

All this talk of physical strength just got me thinking.

Grievous' blows were as forceful as any Mace Windu had ever had to block in LoE.

That includes Yoda. 😊

I doubt Yoda went all out on him.

Yoda physically overpowered Sidious in a saberlock. The same Sidious who held off Maul and Savage with one arm each while laughing his ass off.

Meanwhile Grievous lost a saberlock to Ahsoka. 😆

Thiz iz the zecond Vader V. Exar Kun...

Yoda didn't over power Zidiouz.... Zidiouz let him be drive inzane by the Dark zide of the force and hiz hate of the Jedi...
In hiz background mind he wazhoping to wait than Yoda get tired to kill him like a ztupid goblin with no force power don't even able to walk....

(Yhea remeber with plagueiz Zidiouz love tragic end...)

Yoda has never physically overpowered Sidious, they're equals.

He was actually strained when holding them both off at the same time, as per Shadow Conspiracy, and a Force Rage enhanced Maul has nearly broken through Sidious' defences.

Meanwhile I don't give a shit 😊

Naw, he does. They saberlock and Yoda pushes Sidious' lightsaber back while Sidious' expression goes "oh shit!".

So? Holding off Savage with one hand even having to strain still indicates superior strength than GG can put out. Plus he really didn't look like he was straining and he was holding them off in the most impractical manner.

Ahsoka > Yoda bro. Accept the orange jailbait as your new lord and master.

Vader is also fast enough to block TIE fighter cannons and then crush them while flying in space and throw them back at another TIE fighter. So while it might be a bit exaggerated, I wouldn't say Hyperbolic.

Multiple places? Do you mean whenever the comic shows like him leaping and stuff? Vader has stuff like that too in the Dark times comic.

Vader's TK allowed him to blast through a huge stone fortress that the Rebels where hiding in and where confident that it can withstand heavy firepower from Imperials. He also proceeded to pick up a large Droid and crush it with pure TK. Vader while badly damaged was also able to raise up a Force barrier that protected him from Galen's explosion when the guy overloaded himself with the Force, and he took a Thermal Detonator to the chest once without any damage, and Thermal Detonators have been shown being capable of blowing up a huge shunk of a Skyhook in the Shadows of the Empire novel. I believe the source for Phrik was the Death Star Novel, I do know he broke a metal that Imperial scientists considered "Unbreakable."

So by your logic, pushing someone back in a saber lock means you are irrefutably stronger than them physically? Sweet. I wonder when this will turn into a double standard.

Not necessarily, Grievous's strength feats are probably equal to whatever you could mention for Sidious. It doesn't matter what you think he looked like, the novel says Sidious was strained.

Maybe when she's older.

The Kun vs. Vader video on youtube has Kun taking it, barely.
