Star Wars: Darth Vader

Newest issue out!

It's....ok I mean tbh it seems like the 1st issues were building up to the next issue in which Vader now

Spoiler:
has to fight against his 2 replacements by the Emperor
but still haven't a clue as to what the droid army is for...though it's rather an interesting twist in mixing biology and tech.

Also Vader has shown Force Barrier, with casual ease.

That being said, the next issue seems to be more worthwhile and action. So looking forward to it come 5/13.

I dunno, though I bet anything that Maul will be one of them most likely considering he hasn't appeared and is still alive. Because that just seems a rather obvious choice.

The other one? Dunno....

I thought it was a decent episode. In the EU Palpatine has a switch that couldve shut down all of the droids in Rise of Darth Vader, but apparently the materials and facilities in Canon are now under Imperial control. She's also a funny character. Decent issue, but I can't wait for the next two to see Vader fight droid armies (possibly) and fight those two apprentices. Also seeing him kill Maul would make me very happy, and ILS very sad. Anything that makes ILS sad is good.

It just seems like an obvious choice to use Maul as one of the guys to fight Vader, what else could he possible do without having it be an issue later on in the EU?

I'm expecting the replacements will just be some Frankenstein-esque monstrosities and not Maul. Although I guess Maul could have got some replacement limbs.

Also are we sure it's only two replacements? I had to skim it to get back to work on time.

Yeah the issue says that 2 replacements will be sent to eliminate Vader by Palpatine or something or another.

But eh yeah, the 2 could just be random characters that pop up to rival Vader. But I dunno on that, would seem to make for a sort of lackluster issue tbh. I feel one of them could be Maul, but...I guess we shall wait and see what is what.

Well, if one of them is Maul he won't die in the comic for sure. They wouldn't kill him off in a comic.

They had lightsabers though, so unless they're lightsaber wielding monstrosities I'm gonna blindly hope its Vos and Ventress 😄

Why not?

Also Carth another possibility maybe.

Why would they bring back a character from the dead in TV form only to kill him in a comic only a fraction of TCW viewers would read? It makes no sense and is plain stupid. DARTH POWER has said this many times before, too.

i enjoy this series ...

each issue makes me want more

Because they can?....Who cares if not many people would read it. It's a possibility, I mean Chewie died in the old EU and he was a favorite character in general, yet he died in a book and not many would know about it.

I'm just saying, there are possibilities here.

Considering the guy who was involved with them is some sorts genetic splicer O think its pretty safe to say they are monstrosities.

Never bought that argument. Having him show up in Rebels (or a movie) would confuse people who did not watch TCW unless they spent a lot of time explaining how he came back which would be utter ****.

So let's bring back Maul in a mediocre Darth Vader comic book for an issue or two so we can kill him off. Wow, what a great idea.

Well, I'd say a good chunk of people know Maul has survived by now, I don't think a lot of people could not know that unless they've been living under a rock. They'd probably just not know the exact details. I just think killing Maul off in a comic (at least this specific comic) would be retarded.

No need to get bent out of shape King. Just saying that it's possible Maul could appear, he also couldn't. Who knows, we shall find out come the 15th May.

Also I'm not seeing it as a slight if he does appear and does die, because it's not like he doesn't have extensive material on him already.

I don't care of he appears at all, just that him dying would be extremely stupid in my opinion.

I hope the 501st are still going to be clones like in the old EU

Just bought issue 4, lets hope its good.

Will ****ing take forever to come in though

Doubt it. People are really excited about Ahsoka in Rebels and not saying "who that chick with the Lightsabers?" She's another one they wouldn't kill in a novel or a comic.

I know you don't like him, but Maul will be back on a bigger medium than novels/comics. It's just a matter of when. Not that they can't kill off "Anyone" from TCW in a novel/comic (I have doubts both Vos and Ventress will survive Dark Disciple).

But Maul is too popular and too main a character from the Movies and TCW to just brush off like that. And would you believe Lucas never even intended to kill him off in TCW? The intention was always for him to survive that show, so they obviously have made future plans for him.
