Shocker looks stupid, but holy hell Vulture's suit looks amazing. Solid trailer though some of the Kid antics might be a little annoying.

yeah, some of the comedy bits look annoying, but the trailer looked OK.

Lookin great!
Also yup Vulture looks badass.

I'm still not a fan of this"second fiddle" angle with MCU Spider-man. Let the guy have his own adventures in the MCU w/o being tied to Tony frequently.

But Vulture did look better than expected.

He looks like he is just going to be in a bit of a mentor role. I doubt he will play too big of a part. But I also think they are doing it to make it absolutely clear that the universes are connected, especially for people who didn't watch Civil War. You have to remember, some people can be pretty dense.

If Tony only appears in small doses the I guess that's fine. Still feels like Marvel isn't really letting Spiderman do his own thing now that he's part of the MCU as even Ant-Man seem to have more room for solo antics.

Niiiice.

So far I'm loving what I'm seeing. Marvel hasn't disappointed me so far so I'm going to keep on trusting them. I loved the first Spider-Man movie with Toby Maguire, then slowly my confidence in the Spider-Man movies started dropping with each successive movie they made. Now, I'm excited again.

Yeah I'm not a fan of him being IMs butt monkey either. Hopefully he'll grow out of it pretty quickly.

I'm also liking vulture. I like that they adapted the frill/fur/quills around the neck. I'm not a fan of the mask, although it looks like it will come off. I'm looking forward to this.

I don't get the sense of him being a "butt monkey". Stark just seems like he is being overprotective in his own Tony way. He showed notable concern for Peter during Civil War, after Spidey got smacked by Giant-Man, and the last guy he cared about, who he brought into the fold, ended up paralysed. Never mind the whole Extremis fiasco with Pepper. But I think a big part of this movie is going to be Peter proving himself as a hero in his own right. At least, that is the vibe I got from the trailer.

Also noticed The Tinkerer in it too with Donald Glover standing with him whoever he's playing.

IDK, Spidey's never been about proving himself to anyone, let alone IM. Maybe "butt monkey" is a bit too far, but he's definitely second fiddle like wakka said. I prefer my Spidey more as a solo hero with the occasional team up. He takes care of his own messes/villains and definitely doesn't make impressing "Mr. Stark" one of his priorities.

Or maybe I'm just being too much of a critic over something that doesn't matter all that much. Like you said, it's just Tony's way of worrying. Either way, Spider-man is my number one and I'll probably watch this 20 times the first year anyways.

Nice catch. Cool to see Glover in this

Also, I'm disappointed that Ned is his best friend in this instead of Harry.

What? Then who tf is this guy?

You do have to keep in mind that this is in a world where the Sokovia Accords exist, and Tony is pretty much the face of that document. So, I can see why Spiderman might not have the same level of freedom he's enjoyed in other movies/incarnations, or the comics. If he just goes off on his own, the UN probably won't take too kindly to it, especially now that he is a known quantity.

And thats for sure? The guy I posted has a gauntlet around his arm too, and has the padded design Shocker always has on his suit.

Granted, your dude has gauntlets and the yellow going.

This could also be Tony's way of getting around the accords. He's not allowed to do anything without permission as a member of the avengers (if I remember correctly, the accords were specifically to keep the Avengers in check as an organization; it's not the super hero registration act like it was in the comics so it doesn't apply to someone like Spidey or Daredevil), but he could have Spiderman as some kind of loophole.

Not sure. Might be. Sokovia Accords had a couple of things in it, such as a ban on creating future AI (a current plot point on AoS). But, at the same time, it would make Tony even more invested in making sure that Peter succeeds, and doesn't get in over his head, seeing as he is providing him with tech etc. If Spiderman screws up, the screw up lands on him as well.

Edit: Actually, based on some digging, it seems to address enhanced humans in general. These are supposedly some of the confirmed rules in the Accords:

- The Avengers will no longer be a private organization, and will now be operating under the supervision of the United Nations.
- The Avengers and any other enhanced individuals will no longer have authorization to cross international boundaries at any time they wish.
- Enhanced individuals must be given clearance by a nation's government or a United Nation subcommittee before taking any action in that country, either on their own or as a part of an organization such as the Avengers or S.H.I.E.L.D..
- Any enhanced individual who does not sign the Accords must not participate in any Avengers incursions, nor take part in any national or global conflict.
- If any enhanced individual takes any unauthorized action, or obstructs the actions of those who are acting in accordance with the Accords, they will be arrested.
- All enhanced individuals have to wear tracking bracelets.
- The creation of self-aware A.I. is prohibited.

Bokeem Woodbine is listed as Shocker in IMDB
