One thing that I forgot to mention in my initial comments is that the movie gives a subtle hint to
Spoiler:
the existence of Miles Morales in the MCU. Donald Glover plays Aaron Davis, and mentions that he has a nephew living in the area, during the car interrogation scene with Spiderman.

Interesting, well given there are supposed to be 4-5 more movies they are probably planting seeds for future films.

Yeah . . . this was OKAY at best. As a longtime Spidey fan, I don't care for all the liberties taken.

-The "I'm nothing without the suit" scene.

-The stupid Ned Leeds best friend / sidekick character

-The milf aunt may

-The OOC Mary Jane

-Gadgets and needing the suit to do different web combinations

-Spider-Man's secret identity not being too secret (the vulture, aunt may, ned leeds and potentially every future super villain).

-Zero spider-sense (or COMMON sense for that matter).

Though to be fair, I feel this character has been getting worse and worse for years now. Most writers nowadays just don't understand the character (the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series being the most notable case of this). Whoever thought it was a good idea to make Spider-Man weak, incompetent and pathetic needs to be beaten with an oar (Bendis being the biggest culprit with the not-so-ultimate Spider-Man). To me, the Peter Parker from Spider-Man TAS and Spectacular Spider-Man will always be the most faithful adaptations of the character.

No Spidey sense at all?!

But yeah, Spectacular Spider-Man was a great show.

Sony I'm guessing. They have all Live Action Spider-Man related property rights.

Also they're Spider-Man animated movie out next year will star Miles.

Maybe that's what they're going for? Making Miles their main universe Spidey for when Peter inevitable ends up in Marvel.

You are quite clearly triggered by someones box office predictions. I'm sorry if this upsets you, but nobody is actually stalking you. If this is stalking it would mean pals of yours have stalked me across the board too.

I doubt you wanna admit that, so I'd suggest dropping the narrative for their sake 🙁

The box office thing was called a debate which he went on with for pages and pages a couple of months back.

You would know nothing about this because you're just stalking me and haven't added anything to the conversation except making your clear obsession over me known.

Now stop derailing every thread that I'm in.

Which was kinda strange because they clearly hinted at it in Civil War.

Just laughing at how triggered you are getting. You continually cry about derailments and yet continually respond to defend your lame accusations. Maybe...stop?

And I'm laughing at how obsessed you are over me.

But also a little worried you and your KKK pals are planning something.

None. Zero. Otherwise, no way in hell Ned or May would have ever seen him without his mask on. Wouldn't have had as much trouble with the Vulture either. It's like the screenplay writer wanted to have certain scenes and decided to inexplicably nerf the character (both in abilities and intelligence) to have them in the movie. Only there's no payoff IMO.

Feige said that he does have it, but they are approaching it differently to how it was done in the past:

In a recent chat with IGN, Kevin Feige confirmed Peter Parker gets the tingly warning even if it isn’t a focus in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

“I think he has it. And I think he has it with or without that suit. I think how we explore it in a cinematic sense will change,” Feige said.

“I mean, that was sort of a big showy part of previous versions and we thought that we’d make it more of an internal, sort of second nature thing for him,” the producer continued. “But there are ways coming up that will slowly hint at that and also just make it part of his, you know, his natural abilities. I think we’ll explore it further down the line.”

Odd because there are so many different ways these folks could have included examples of the spidey sense. That's just laziness at work.

I think it's a case of him still struggling to properly focus it (like getting kicked in the face by Ant-Man despite sensing something was off at the time). Like he mentioned in Civil War, he has issues with sensory overload sometimes. And, quite frankly, it doesn't look like his abilities have improved any in between Civil War and Homecoming.

I guess that's why Cap could beat him up.

Logically with his Spider-Sense working properly, it'd be almost impossible for Cap to even land a hit on him 😛

Well to be fair, MJ saw him in the comics because she wasn't a threat to him. So it could be a case of any non-threats not triggering his Spidey Sense.

On the other hand, too many non-threats seeing his identity could end up being a threat Lol

Stop the nonsense everybody.

Movie will still do over $300 million domestic. It will be fine.

Most people think 325-350. Solid number.

TASM2 grossed $500mill Internationally. So with those kind of domestic numbers it would/should easily surpass $800mill worldwide.

I think it can do $900 million WW. Lots of competition coming though.

Another thing I've been saying that was going against it. It's been a jam packed summer full off blockbusters.
